Macross vs Gundam...whose better?

i've seen more gundam than macross so i'll go with gundam

Gundam is way way way better then Macross. Macross is just a story about air fighter/robot pilot torn between the love of two woman while trying to fight off the alien race. Gundam have a much better story line and much better design and graphic.

Hmmmmm.........

Gundam:
- Somewhat cool characters
- little emotion
- good character development
- Bad animation quality
- Good action
- Mech designs are pretty cool if your looking for overly powerful mechs. Seeing 5 mechs constantly trashing hundreds of enemy suits all the time does get kind of boring though.

Macross:
- Cool Characters
- Animation consistently good, may appear bad quality, but thats just because of old tapes
- Great action(if you've seen Macross Plus, the battles between Isamu and Gold were amazing)
- Mech designs are great because tey arent too powerful. Either the pilot is good or your dead.
- Very good character interaction. Results in good character development, and lots of emotion.

I think Macross is better, just by a tad cuz Macross Plus was an amazing movie. Sure, Endless Waltz was as good, if not better, but the Macross series was better and more consistent overall.

i've never seen macross so i can't really compare the 2 :(
but are u talking the whole gundam series in general or gundam wing?

i still think GundamWing has more depth and emotion to support it's story, thats what makes it better :D

Well, in all series in Gundam and Macross.

I love the Macross saga when I was just 6 years old. It was the first Mecha Anime that I have watched. But then, Gundam series came up, later on. So, I just want to know. Which is better?

Don't judge all the gundam series just by watching gundam wing. I still think gundam series is better.

Macross Plus, I'd have to say is better than Gundam. The storyline kinda, smacked you in the face, and wanted you to realize what was going on, whereas in Gundam, it gets a bit complicated, cause you have faction underminding faction and ---- like that. With Macross, it's straight up, I'm better than you are non-stop action, solid plot and some KICK ASS TECHNO!
