Tenci and El Hazard Tie In?

I was around at a friends place and he was watching Tenchi in Tokyo (Noooo) well I was sitting there during I think Ep 9 and I noticed Tenchi's teacher looked a lot like Mr Fujisawa from El Hazard and I think that was his name? Also he said something about they could have been sucked into the Alternamte World? This a genuine tie in? I couldn't see Makoto or Jinnai anywhere and the uniforms were different.

Well if you listen really closely you will hear that teacher say something like


'i wonder if they have fallen into the magnificent world"

which is of course the OAV of El-Hazard.

ep 9 of TiT was actually amusing in places, Ep 8 on the other hand was utter garbage. i almost stopped watching TiT because fo that.
