Ok, I find that when describing anime to newbies, they'll often call it manga, and the only 2 things they know is DBZ and SM (both of them dubbed versions of course)

Also I hear the Sailor Chicks are sexy? I went to http://www.sailormoon.org to verify this fact, signed on, looked at fanart, but am inconclusive.

Does anyone here have some pictures that could prove to me sailor moon girls don't looke like 12 year old girls? and I don't mean fanart, I mean links or anything from actual shots in the series. Cos I find the idea of fanservice in SM based on the pictures i have seen..to be a very repuslive idea! Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate SM (haven't seen it..duh) I just don't see why guys my age would know SM for the girls, but not know NGE for everything.

Also if u could tell me a bit about the storyline? cos I hear sailor scout and sailor soldier said everywhere, but I duno the diff. I just know sailor moon uses some crystals or something and that they wear short skirts or some crud.

Hi hi! Well, to start off Sailor Moon's a magical girl series, which basically means normal elementary to high school girls use a special object to transform into superheroines. Bacially, in Sailor Moon, Usagi and her friends turn into the Sailor Senshi (senshi is Japanese for "soldier or warrior", but they are referred to "scouts" in the American dub version), and just stop people from trying to take over, or destroy the universe (that's a REALLY short summary--a lot more goes on in the show).

When the show starts, the girls are middle schoolers, approximately 13-14 (they look older in the manga, but there about the same age. They also grow older as both the show and manga go along). I can't think of any blatant fanservice on the show. There are alot of people out there who get a kick out of doing hentai dojinshi and pics based off SM, and yeah, that is repulsive. A good place to find pics is http://www.outworld.org/topics/bssm/gallery but there are a lot of other galleries woth lots of cool pics. Have you checked out the Anime Turnpike's Sailor Moon section? That's a good place to search.

as for the fanservice, someone mentioned somewhere that in the undubbed/cut version there were panty shots and stuff.. my sorry but as I already mentioned, I am not exactly an expert on SM.

i dont know about the show, but i have the first 4 volumes of the sailor moon art books from japan (i think theres 5 volumes) and they all look like adults in it. not 12 yr old girls in skimpy outfits.

yea, they don't look like kids. and there is plenty of fanservice. just take Jupiters transformation. There is a rather obvious butt shot of her. Take Michiru getting out of the pool. another gratuitous butt shot. eat your heart out, Pengi_Ken-Ohki!
