Bleach the anime

Well first episode has been fansubbed, downloaded and just watched it then.

Hmm well you can't make much of a judgement from only being able to see the first episode but I liked what I saw, I like Kubotite's art ala Zombie Powder (I want an ending sigh) and the Bleach manga. Ichigo was kicking at the end of the episode when he absorbed the Death God's powers and took out that hollow.

I look foward to episode 2, and just a question how many episodes have they scheduled for the series?

No one knows, seeing that the anime is still going, and currently on volume 13, I'd say it'd go for 100+ episodes. If you do the math, 13 volumes worth of manga converts to approximately 100-104 episodes, assuming that each chapter is one episode (took that into consideration and made an estimate) and each volume is 8 chapters long.

on simpler terms, it IS a popular shonen jump manga, so i'd say it'd be long.

The first episode was fairly good. The animation was solid, with even a bit of experimentation (i.e. in the color and usage of lighting) to make it feel different from all the other shounen anime out there. The opening and ending themes are good. The opening especially is kick-ass. The ending felt a bit out-of-place, but it's a very pretty song.

What I really like from the manga are the characters, though. They're the backbone of the show and take it from being a typical high-school-boy-becomes-badass-fighter series. So for the anime, I was glad at their choices of seiyuu. Ichigo was given the perfect voice, just like I'd imagine it from reading the manga. They seemed to do a good job acting out the first episode.

I'm looking forward to the second episode.

Yeah, I definately digged the first episode. The opening had a "funky" 70's vibe going into it. If the anime follows closely to the manga, then this sure to be the next "Naruto" of anime. I've read all the way up to chapter 150 of the manga and I must say that I am pleased with the route it is going. But, I don't know how long I am going to stick with the anime as I get my Bleach fix every Friday here in Japan. :)

Yes the series is just called Bleach, it's about a 15 year old boy called Ichigo (the guy in my avatar) who can see dead spirits. He meets a girl who is a shinigami/god of death who hunts evil spirits called Hollows .. blah blah this and that happen resulting in the god of death's powers being transferred to Ichigo.

So far the story holds together,but I hope they'll do more than just fight a bunch of random Hollow every episode.

PS:I don't know much of japanese mythology,however from what I've seen of Shinigamis,it seems you can become one if you suicide.Or is it a coincidence that most Shinigamis have commited suicide in their previous life (ex:Takuto from Full Moon wo Sagashite)

Yes, it is a girl named Rukia. She's also wearing dresses in the opening sequence, so if you don't believe me, rewatch it.

The manga is licensed right now. Got licensed over a little while ago. It's up to Vol. 13 here in Japan. I just read chapter 152 in Weekley Jump here in Japan. Ichigo has become a "beast". Kicking ass and taking no prisoners. It's going to be tough to watch the anime for me, but for those just tuning in, stay in for the long haul, you'll definately like what you'll see later. :)

Two volumes are out in the US, with a third coming up sometime really soon. Viz's website isn't that helpful, so don't bother looking for info on upcoming volumes there. They do have limited info on the two volumes that are out.

It's actually called "Asterisk," or in Japanese "＊～アスタリスク～." I don't think it's on an album. I haven't been able to find much on it on the internet, and you betcha I've been looking.

Yeah, I just like the "G O O D Y" part of the song. I've been going through Yesasia checking out the tracklistings for Orange Range albums and singles and sigh no find. Ohwell just have to keep watching the opening scene :)

No kidding, I KNOW IT'S LICENSED!!! That's why I told him to P.M. if he wants it through online translations. You know, since I am here in JAPAN maybe I could've actually scanned them up myself and translated for him. Just because it's licensed in states doesn't mean that I can't point him in the right direction for the latest chapters.

For example, Naruto is licensed as well. But you won't see many people buying the Viz version, why? Because you can EASILY get the latest chapters throughout the internet. Why wait almost 3 months for a Couple of chapters when you get a chance to keep up with what the Japanese are reading every week. Regarding fansubs, it is really REALLY stupid to have to wait forever for the dubs of the show to come out, and i hate dubs. Like with Inuyasha, its to 167, and the dubs are only at 52 or so. I'm not waiting 3 years for them to finish, no way.

well, since you're there (and since you said you could have translated it for him, I'm assuming yuou can read Japanese), can't you buy the latest Shonen Jump OR the latest GN's instead of d/ling off the net? If you're excuse is to get the latest chapters, then why would you download if you can easily walk out and buy SJ or the GN's? It's pretty popular you know, you'll find it easily.

Yep, like myself. The MPAA is actually starting to crack down on university students, 4 guys actually got suspended according to my prof. (or about to).

Movies, the MPAA is the Motion Picture Association of America. Last year, it was the RIAA who were suing people left and right for downloading illegal music. It was kinda off topic. For fansubs, the companies are targeting the distributors, not the actual downloaders, so we can d/l all we want.

Well, hey, it's your choice. Except it's kinda hard to d/l a licensed series unless you're caught up becuase most groups stop subbing a series once it's licensed. I dont know the case with Inu Yasha though.

Also, the dub is actually at 70 something. starting november, IY is moving to weeknights with new episodes and will go all the way through episode 104 with the dub.

Well, thats the manga. The anime is NOT licensed, so it's safe to d/l fansubs (can't tell you where though). At this point, we're all watching Bleach in fansub form.

To get back on topic, Bleach ep. 2 just aired. Thoughts on that tomorow evening.

I've been here for almost 4 years and this is the respect I get!!! :lol: J/K Fatal Outlaw, I understand where you are coming from with your statement. All I am saying is this, there are translated pages of Bleach out there. Nothing is stopping Splintr420 from downloading them regardless weither it's licensed. Believe me, I am fan of Bleach, which is why I buy Weekly Jump every Friday here in Japan. I hardly download my manga. What's the point? I get the latest chapters like the Japanese do, so no real need for me...

What I am trying to illustrate is this, people in America don't have the same "luxury" as do. I'm lucky to be here in Japan, able to read the latest of what ever manga I want. Now, if I wanted to translate the "LATEST CHAPTER" for them that shouldn't be a problem. In no shape or form I am saying "don't support the creator." That's what I am not about here. But (I'm estimating around a good 60%) of anime fans don't feel that way. They see it as cheap access to download off the net. Some don't have the money nor the time to buy the GN, so what the hell. They're thinking, not only I don't have to pay for this, I can read the latest chapter with the Japanese for FREE. You tend to forget that most people aren't really into anime, more like casual people just watching for the heck of it.

Believe me, if you were to come in my room right now Fatal Outlaw, you wouldn't believe how much I support the anime industry and creators because I like anime alot which is why I am going out of my way to help him.

A lot of people DO support the industry. I know a do too. But I don't really want to pay thousands of dollars so I can watch a series. If you care that much, download the series, and then buy the manga or somethin'. thats what i'm doing.

After watching the episode and letting it sink in for a while, despite the odd music and different style, I really started falling in love with it. But i was wondering about the Shinigami. In Inu Yasha, they are just servants that fly around, but in Bleach, she said that she was a "death god". Whats that about? What is the japanese history of these things?

I wasn't debating that, I believe it's a misunderstanding as I d/l anime AND manga myself. I wasn't saying "dont download fansubs or manga cuz its the evil evar111!!" at all, the point was, there's an official release out there and as much as possible, support it, but i can't help it if you d/l it or whatnot.

A good episode again nothing outstanding. Yes it was quite amusing watching Rukia as a student with her happy cheerful disguise, I liked it when Ichigo found out that Rukia was sleeping in his closet :D .. and Inoue is one wierd silly girl. Anyway I look foward to episode 3 aswell.

Ho, boy. You can say that again. When she went into those strange spastic motions imagining Ichigo with... guns and violence... :lol: Crazy girl.

Good episode. I liked it better than the first, actually. Many comedic moments, and for some reason the animation seemed better to me in this episode than it did in the first. Am I just imagining things?

Anyway. Not sure if anyone noticed, but the method for becoming a Hollow has changed. I haven't read that far into the manga, but the guy became a Hollow through other means (left purposely vague for possible spoilers). Seems strange to change it.

I've been wondering this all along. How do you see these episodes, are they on satellite TV or something? I don't even speak japanese, so it wouldn't do me that much good, but where do you find it?


It comes on TV Tokyo at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday here in Japan for me. I noticed that Lunar Anime had episode 2 fan-subbed real quick. The next day as a matter fact.

It's pretty easy. If you just want to use the quick reply space at the bottom, then all you have to remember is to use the right tags. (Remove underscores from my examples for the actual tag.)

It depends on where you get it. I'm thinking you could probably find something very similar to it here in the US somewhere, without needing to import the outfit. But unless you go for top-of-the-line materials, I don't think it'd be that expensive at all.

Just watched episode 3 of Bleach, hmm a sadder episode this one with Inoue and her brother. The way he passed on was a bit cheesy, managing to fight off the hollow inside of him and taking out himself, but hey it's got to be somewhat happy. Had some good action in it, and I enjoyed the last few mintes of he episode where Rukia erased Inoues memory ;)

Hmm as for episode 4 .. I wonder what it's going to entale ..

Well Ichigo is borrowing Rukia's powers to do her job. Ichigo isn't a part of the Soul Society and Soul Society doesn't yet know that Ichigo has inherited Rukia's shinigami powers.

Episode 4 is pretty good. spoiler
its basically about Chad...and how hes a good guy even tho hes a big silent guy. Its about a parakeet with a soul inhabiting it. And something weird happens to ichigos lil sister which i seem not to understand really except she feels what the parakeet feels. Hallows are after the parakeet's soul. I love it when Rukia acts all polite and cheery and going back to being the rough tough girl. haha it seems to be that Ichigo is meant to be a Soul reaper bc his power is soo much more stronger than Rukia and hes still a newbie at it. anyways i cant wait for the next episode...hehe

I don't think each one has a special talent or ability, it's just that their spirit sensing strengthes are different. As Ichigo has the strongest sensing strength so he can interact with spirits, the older sisters strengthes are weaker then Ichigo's so she can only see them, the younger sister is even weaker she can only sense them and the dad well..

Episode 4 was good, probably the best episode so far but sigh another to be continued. I loved Rukia's explanation again with her drawings :)

So far this seems like a comical series. I had a few chuckles while watching, but who knows, maybe it'll pull a Trigun on us.

Rukia is pretty funny. I like Ichigo's dad too. The funny ones always get me hooked.

The only thing that's bugging me now is that he is stronger than a 10000 year old death god in one day. Even for an anime it seems pretty far fetched. Just my .02

But as far as power goes, he is an unskilled fighter with a blade, seeing as he has trouble getting rid of some hollows. I didn't understand how he knew how to look at the spirit string thinys though. He (apparently) doesn't know any spells to fight hollows, but he knows how to find a spirit's lifeline? a little wacked, but whatever...

From what I can understand,one measure of a shinigami's strenght is his/her sword.Rukia had a regular sword,but Ichigo,by drawing on part of Rukia's power created his huge sword.Since when does 2-1=9?

It makes a little sense. He took a part of her power and added it to his own power. Since he had a strong spirit to begin with, adding Rukia's power could possibly make a "super" death god. Sort of like the fusions that happen in Dragonball Z. Only he doesn't posess the skills to use his power fully, which is why we see him being kicked around by a few hollows.

He didn't just take apart of her power he took it all as well as his own power. She only meant to give him half her power but he had so much he sucked it all up.

I understand exactly how you feel Westlo. I'm finding it hard to watch the anime as I am "light years" ahead of it reading the manga. :( Makes me wonder how much episodes of Bleach there will be.

Hollows are the only enemy of the Soul Societie's shinigamis. Well unless they introduce some other evil beings.

I read the first 2 volumes of the TW scanlations they they stopped distributed sometime last year. I can't be bothered catching up now, plus I'm not much of a manga reader.

Well watched episode 5, nice conclusion to episode 4. My favourite scenes would definately be the the same as Westlo and also when Rukia and Chad were fighting that hollow, love Rukia's facial expressions.

Well, I've been enjoying the anime. The characters are lots of fun, and the story is really good. At the same time...a large part of why I'm watching the anime is to see how they're differing it from the manga. ^_^;;

Episode 7 introduced several differences, and it seems as though they're going to be speeding up the story. I hope they do a good job, because this has quickly become one of my favorite series.

I don't really understand how the hollow thing works. If you are a hollow, but you were just consumed by other hollows, and you are killed by a shinigami, then do you go to soul society? Becuase that hollow has taken into hell in episode 5 or 6. Did he turn into a hollow right when he died because of his evil soul?

From what I've been able to gather, any crimes you commit as a Hollow will be purified/removed by the soul cutter when a shinigami takes care of the Hollow. However, any crimes committed in life will still be there, and if you're a horrible, rotten, wicked person (like the guy who went to hell) then you won't be able to go to Soul Society.

As for how Hollows are made...complicated process, that. There are several ways, from the looks of things. It should come up in a bit more detail later on, so I'd just wait. Or read the manga. Or both. ^_^

They way this is going I have a feeling Ichigo is gonna be like Goku. Gets beat down, comes back stronger, new stronger guy appears, gets beat down, comes back stronger, etc. Ichigo (Goku) is the only one who can ever make a difference (Ishida was so pimp when he appeared, and now he's a total puss, kinda like the sub characters for DBZ). That's the only thing that's been bugging me about this series for the whole 17 episodes. I hope it doesn't take that course, but if it does they better give Rukia something more to than just stand there and yell :rolleyes: Actually I'm kinda hoping for a dynamic duo kinda thing :lol:

Yeh, I hate anime like that. Ive started getting really annoyed at characters who are simply born better than everyone else. Just getting beat up over and over is apparently sufficient.

No, I far prefer anime like 'Flames of Recca' where each character DID have a roll to play. Where they made a point out of strengthening everyone else along with the main character.

But maybe its because its asia. Where more is expected academically out of students so perhaps the daydream is "Imagine a world where you can be succesful without having to force yourself. Just suffer time alone and that'll make you stronger".

I think it really undermines things in anime when a really scary and uber boss character, becomes lame and average by comparison just 10 episodes later (e.g. HunterXHunter. Any criminal without Nen wouldnt even be worth considering for the characters. Only hunters were trained in nen..but then every fighter..including lame 'n00b gankers' has it on the 200th floor or on greed island)

They are going at about 4-5 manga chapters an episode so they would get to around episode 70-75 before needed to insert fillers to allow the manga to be made.

Personally I think it will be a 52 ep series and they will make their own ending.

19 was kinda uneventful if you ask me. We got to watch Ichigo in a hole for 15 minutes, yay! The interesting parts were when he was talking to his sword/man/thing and when Rukia's sensei came to deliver her the news. :eek:

I never really was much impressed by Bleach. It got interesting around 13-15 and then it felt forced. It feels like Samurai Deeper Kyo all over again >.<

First the pacing was slow leading me to believe it was going to be at least two seasons, then it picked up a bit and I was convinced there were only going to be two seasons, now it's moving so fast everything is going to be rushed. The entire series feels like they need two seasons to tell it properly, yet we took all those episodes (12-13) in the beginning to learn the nuances of shinigamies, and then some powers awakened in his comrades (2-3 episodes). Then the training started (4-5 episodse including beatdown), now we're fighting shinigamies - a multi-tier battle at that (final 3-5 episodes). Lastly some closure (1 episode). As far as shonen anime goes it went from Naruto scope (big ass arc with a lot of potential), to Recca (satisfying arc, but not great), and now it's reached Kyo (we all know there's a story here, but unballanced episode planning and character development messed up everything that could have made this anime great, or even good).

Yo PKO, try reading the manga. Most of the time they do "gangbang his ass". But to stretch the animation they take them one at a time (Most recent example are Naruto episodes 121/122). Not to mention it's easier to animate. Don't forget the lead in shonen anime is always stupid, he can become clever but never smart.

Episode 28 was kind of boring to me but at least we get to see Ishida fight some. Hopefully the next episode will kick off things between Ichigo and Zaraki but I have a feeling they won't until right at the end of the episode and we get slapped with a big "to be continued" just to ---- us off.

Bleach is fast becoming FRUSTRATING for me. I feel like they've ended every episode since around 15 with "To be continued". That pisses me off. Cliffhangers went out in the 80s. Its a ------ way of doing things. I dont wanna watch 500 fkn episodes of a character 'Levelling up' over the course of a few days.


Naruto was one of the most obscene abusers of this. It always went ->
Character introduction (make em look evil or good)
Character confrontation (finally get to when they'll fight)
Character Fight, First half (main char gets crap beaten out of them)
Character Fight, Internal cry scene (entire episode showing lifestory of guy about to lose. Build up sympathy etc etc)
Character Fight, Second Half (guy who was losing, wins and everything becomes good again)

This of course would take 10 freakin episodes to accomplish. grrrrrrr

This is where Bleach is going to face its downfall I think. The are really a lot of fights coming up (think Naruto vs Gaara times 4 or 5) which is going to put a strain on people's patience. I personally don't mind cos I've already read the manga and I'm just looking forward to seeing the results animated.

Bleach is locked in for 52 episodes and is currently in a major arc of course the episodes won't be stand alone thats stupid. I'll rather have cliffhangars than crappy monster of the week episodes.

While, 30's out from Lunar today. One of my friends got me hooked on this at the start of the school year (early enough that I pounced on it when it initially came out). Let's just say, Abarai Renji's back. Hit the spoiler if you want.

Before Ichigo even draws blood, Abarai shows Zabimaru's true form again. All I can say is this is going to be one hell of a worthy fight scene. Maybe we'll get to see that bankai (or was it shikai?) that my friends keep raving about that comes out in the manga. Apparently the shikai (IIRC) is the nickname for their soul slayers' true form, it supposedly ups their power and abilities by ten. The bankai apparently ups them by 100. Yum.

Ban-kai is incredibly hard to attain and because of that most of the time the only people with Ban-kai are the Captains cos having Ban-kai makes you unbelievably strong.

Ep 30 was pretty good but each episode of Bleach I watch, ttime seems to fly faster and faster which is annoying. The start of the Renji fight was good so I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it.

I haven't watched ep33 all the way through yet, but I watched the anime and until 27 or 28 came out, never felt the need to read the manga. Then I read a tankouban or two's worth. About episode 31, I dove in head first and didn't come up for air till I was done. I read over 170 chapter's worth in a few days and have to say they both stand on their own, though I've sort of got past the initial, "Bleach is awesomely awesome!" phase. Still a good anime, but I've noticed a few things that point to a little lower funding of the anime than they might desire.

A few of my friends have also read the whole way through and we're sort of in the, "what if," and, "maybe..." stage. Like, if everything is made of 'spiritrons' (as on scanslator calls them) in Soul Society, and Ishida could manipulate them entirely for a few minutes, why didn't he blast Kurotsuchi with bits of himself or simply absorb Kurotsuchi? And what about Ichigo's bankai: He has only shown one stage of it, in which he has essentially mastered the shunpo, but what of the other stages? And do any of the captains going against Zaraki Kenpachi realize what that eyepatch does? Is Ichigo the person that Kuchiki Rukia killed? (Considering the general religious beliefs (I gather) in Japan of a heaven, an earth and the transfer of spirits between the two and the explicit saying so in the anime/manga, this is a possibility.) How did people who were not exposed to Aizen's Bankai, but could sense the spirit power of it fooled by it?

There is no second stage of Bankai, it goes normal soul slayer form, released form and then Bankai.

Considering the way Kuchiki treated him i doubt he knows Kenpachi's full power, but then again he has Bankai. Personally depending on the power I think Kenpachi would be the strongest after obtaining Bankai.

Bankai first: I guess I meant techniques as opposed to merely the transformation. Ichigo's a kickass fighter, there's no doubts there, but he's a no-flash guy.

Explanation of Ichigo-Ganju's brother link: According to the manga and the anime, souls transfer between Soul Society and the Living World (for lack of a better term). So there's a possibility they're both derived of the same soul. Of course, considering the immense amount of transfer between Soul Society and the Living World, I doubt the theory. It's just a pet theory of one of my friends' thinking.

This anime is dead to me now. The introduction of 'Bankai' confirmed all my worst fears. This is a pretty version of DBZ. The afterlife has almost no thought put into it. The character never gets exhausted relative to his spirit energy use..and of course, always learns things in months/days/seconds that usually take years.

Can we just declare Ichigo to be god of all that is godly and be done with it? Do we really need to sit through another 50 episodes of him getting godly, getting smashed, getting godlier, getting smashed etc. He doesnt get tired, he heals quickly, he barely gets hungry, and he growls at everything for no good goddamn reason.

I am sure we'll be subjected to some love triangle drama eventually, and maybe a continuation of his problems with his mother's death. Not to mention whatever the hell the ichigo in his sword was talking about with his body.

Id be fine with all this, if one of them would die already. 100% success rate, unlimited power..does anyone even get excited or notice when he's deeply wounded anymore? Or are we all at the stage where we know he'll recover completly, bear no scars and become stronger?

Its not a story. Its an excuse. And its ------- boring.
Stories require a certain level of attention to detail. Bleach hasnt even tried. Corruption in the enforcers of order in the afterlife is all well and good. Until its shown that pretty much every one of them is power-hungry and corrupt anyway.

Frankly, the series borders on offensive for me. Primarily because early on we're shown that Deathgods are good and great. They dont kill hollows like the quincys, they're not bad guys like the hollows, and people who are immoral in life are sent to hell.
Then they show us that for a very long time, death gods have been based on ideas of brutality, strength and cruelty. That there is no high authority that will discipline them, and that those souls lucky enough to go to 'soul society' are destined to live a life with no memory, no family, and no hope for the future.
Ok, so maybe they intend to play off of this by explaining that its the reason why there are deviants assisting Ichigo even now. But its quite infuriating. I probably wouldnt care so much except that this is considered a high quality anime by many. It simply isnt and deserves to have that title stripped and spat on.

I know I know. Im getting much too old or strict for anime. I still like some though!! Oh and I will continue to watch. For the simple reason that once I start, I will usually watch all anime to the conclusion. I hate unfinished worlds. (Mind you, I couldnt finish Daa Daa Daa. I got to around ep 30 before I archived the series and decided I might wait till I suffer a brain injury before trying again)

First of all, you put your own conception of heaven and hell (as precieved by the judeo-christian belief) on the serie, which is wrong.
Second, the hollow become so out of intense emotions, and are driven only by those emotion, while shingamis can get a little bit emotional, they are still cool headed, and such precieve human need like power in a different way, while hollows precieve it in a more primal way.
Try to think of the world of bleach in more eastern religioun context, when good and evil are two sides coexisting in one body, like hollows contain within themselves the souls of innocent people who gone too emotional in the afterlife, so the shingami can have faults.
After all, we are talking about human souls here, each containing the precepts of good and evil, even in the after life.

What we've seen is a dumping ground for hollows.Nothing says normal souls can end up there(not in the anime anyway).

Also I won't get into the philosophical inaccuracies with the christian after-life.

As for Soul Power,I guess it's something decided randomly like any other characteristics.For example,someone gets an astonishing talent for Piano.It wasn't decided,it just happened that way.Same with Soul Power.

Where's there evil,there's good.That's what we see in Soul Society.I think it's be very interesting to see an internal war inside Seireitei

Where did I talk about a christian heaven? I have gone to great lengths to say "the afterlife" and provide reasons for why I think my perception of the situation is correct. We have seen 2 other worlds besides that of soul society. We have seen a world full of hollows, and we have seen a world translated as being 'hell'.
We have seen Ichigo told that the correct thing to do, is stamp people so they're sent to soul society.

Then we see soul society itself. No different to our world except there is no protection of the weak. People like Kenpachi are rewarded for their bloodlust. Dutiful, loyal shinigami are allowed to be horribly mistreated if its by a captain. How is murder on earth so unacceptable that you must go to hell, but mass murder in soul society has 0 repercussions?

As I said earlier in the thread. All this could be taken care of if they had just thought ahead far enough to not touch the afterlife too much. If they hadnt tried to make Rukia seem like a "good guy" there wouldnt be this blaring problem whereby her best friend and commanding officer have 0 emotional remorse about murdering a human whom wanted to protect her. Fact of the matter is, EVERYTHING is pointless. Everything. Its ------- stupid. There has to be a reason to fight. But what is the reason? To save Rukia? From what, dying a second time? If SHinigami's are relied upon to protect the living from hollows, and they are determined to execute her, how many are suffering on earth so Ichigo can save 1 girl? How many shinigami have to be crushed? Or do we just conveniantly forget about Earth during the heaven fight?

I dont care about the debate on what the afterlife should be like. I just cant stand that people are still singing the praises of an anime of this calibre. Hunter X Hunter & Flame of Recca are examples of anime that were as long as this without suffering massive quality dropoffs. Ending every episode with "to be continued" has really started to ---- me off. Thats cheap.

I must agree with you on some facts. Except there is a shinigami that is replacing Rukia in her district. Also Ichigo, if youve payed attention to the story is not exactly human. He is a mix between a hollow and a shinigami which he originally was. Rukia only gave him a little push towards awakening his sealed powers.

On the heaven and Earth matter i think that the Anime can be realted to our lives. THink about it. Where is god when you need him? I needed him many of times and he never came to help me. I help myself and i cat rely on anyone else to help me. Maybe Ichigo is doing the same by going to heaven to rid the bad shinigamis so that people can actually get the help they need! Averting disasters, curing sicknesses, exterminating murderers. The reason Hollows exist are because of shinigamis not purifying souls when they get the chance!

According to this report from C21 Media back on February 6th, Viz Media has acquired the Bleach anime in order to push more into the teen anime market. This comes at a time when a recent Cartoon Network interview has the commentator talking about how Bleach is very much an Adult Swim oriented show and would fit well in their line-up. Time that with Inu Yasha getting closer to finishing and it looks as if Viz Media is lining things up for their next big TV push in addition to Naruto.

Hmm...not really a big deal for me since I've been following the manga and not the anime, but I feel that some people may not like this move. I personally would've like Geneon to get it instead.

Just checked out some other places....some people are still considering Bleach as un-licensed. Lunar being one of them, whom actually fansubs Bleach episodes and animesuki, whom hosts the episodes. So there is a little controversy going on. But, IMO, I'm pretty sure that VIZ does indeed have Bleach since they have the manga. Makes sense right? So, I guess we'll have to wait for the "official" announcement? :lol: Well, anyways, what's you guys take on this "announcement?"

I was introduced to this anime not too long ago. Haha I guess I'm the only one here who just know this anime. :heh:
I've heard about it and am interested in it. I just never seen the anime and the mangas before. So is Bleach really good??

i really enjoy it but the past ten episodes where crap because they where just filler until the manga gets far enough for new story line again. Watch it, love it, enjoy it

Question... What Was That In Episode 59? Does Ichigo Have Hollow Powers?

He doesnt exactly have hollow powers as more of a hollow is inside him. Referring back to the older episode when he fights Zarachi, when he goes back into himself and fights the Ichigo with white skin that is his hollow side. I think we will be seeing more of Hollow Ichigo when the ---- hits the fan kinda like in Naruto when he goes Nine Tailed Fox.

yeah from what i have been reading in the manga now, the next arc should be extremely interesting. Unless I skipped an arc. tousen seems to be more powerful than meets the eye.

Tousen Kaname is the blind guy. The fox is Komamura Sajin.
