OK, I bought the Utimate addition DVD. Not without it's own faults but in some ways the OVA is a supior version. Particulary in the chacter motivations. However, 13 episodes and thats it? Does anyone have any info on any forth coming OVA? I am aware of, but haven't aquired "The Mehoshi Special" It also appears that The second movie was based on the OVA. Universe picked up, changed a little and concluded the "Jurain" arc. But the OVA had also the "Tokimi" arc working at the end as well. Any news would be appreciated.

that's about all, if you don't count the mihoshi special

I have heard at some other boards and from a magazine (Pioneers/AIC magazine. The people who made Tenchi) that they are going to make a third OVA and finish the story. In order to avoid confusion, the Ultimate DVD has the first two OVAs. It seems like one, but it's two, ok? Take my word for it. Anyway, I don't know any more about it than they are probably going to make it. Probably! Not for sure, but a damn good chance. And if they do, I am going snatch the bitch right up. I really want to know what is going to happen. I can't even make up a decent ending so much is left open!

I'm sorry Rhuidean, I do know that the DVD set is from two OVA's. I'll be waiting inline too if the make a third. Perhaps with the new exposure in the US (even the butchered CN version)the market will look promising enough.
BTW about your Username--- Robert Jordan fan?

Oh yes. If those wonderful Tenchi people (the orginial OVA team) decide to fix the GAPING ending, I'll be there. I wanna know what the King of Jurai meant by that last statement!!! It'll go nicely with the Ultimate DVD, won't it? :B:

I didn't mean that you didn't know that there were two, but someone who may or may not post that reads this thread may not know that.
And yes, I do like Robert Jordan. Does it show? ;)
I heard that they would make it. Please, let that be true. It really does need some closure.

No offense taken and you make a good point.
The username does give it away a bit to those of us who are JordHeads. Not to get of topic , but I'm about 1/3 of the way through "Winters Heart" and the man is back on track,IMHO.
Now what an anime The Wheel of Time would make.

New info has surfaced that is leaning more towards them not producing a third OVA anytime soon. I bet this kind of thing has happened (where some people thought they might be making a third OVA) since the end of the OVAs in '92. Man, that sucks. I really want them to finish it. Well, I'll keep signing those petitions. Everyone, sign petitions!!! See ya.

Yes, I do. The link is: http://anime.about.com/movies/anime/blpress1125.htm
I'll find the other one (with good news) and maybe post it later. BTW, I got that link from the anime boards at Final Fantasy Online.

God Dammit, what are those stupid female-parent-copulating-piece-of-excrement producers thinking!!
Sure, in the short term the largest market for Anime is mainland Japan. But now that Anime (including Tenchi) is an INTERNATIONAL business, and that the LEGION of Tenchi fans worldwide are SCREAMING for a resolution to the Tomiki/Jurai continuity, they really ought to ass screw themselves with broadswords for not fulfilling these demands, dammmit!!
Read the manga it finishes the OAV!
