Is it just me or they use something like the House of the Rising Sun as ST in Excel Saga? (you can hear some arpegio alike in episode 1)

No, it's what I call it considering that the music in question is always used when Pedro is in a spot of trouble (which is pretty much of all the time)

Puni Puni Poemi used a lot of Excel Saga's soundtrack, it might have been used in Poemi also. It's amazing how pointless Poemi was, but it was funny even if it was only 2 eps.

Sometimes it's good to have a pointless series to watch after a more dramatic/intense one.

But, would you call it "fluff"?
