You're right, sailor moon has to be the worst. I can't' stand how she acts when she's not in sailor scout form. But then when one of those dramatic parts comes up she seems so mature. Why can't she be that way in both personalities? The faces she makes are funny though :B: I guess the show can't be without a girl like Sailor Moon though ^.^

Well, I have 3 senshi that I hate, and these are the reasons:

1. Sailor Chibi-Moon
The pink-haired brat with no discipline, and full of incest ideas - she pretty much is teh same whether she is chibi, Black Lady or returned to normal. Really, I wonder if there EVER was a distinction between Black Lady and normal self.

2. Sailor Moon
Usagi the former unorganised kid, and absolutely no royal air - if I lived in that place, I honestly won't look up to her as a ruler...Plus, she was ignorant enough of her only child to spoil her so bad, the child reckoned her father was her love potential.

3. Sailor Pluto.
The only senshi that wears pixie pink lipstick. Any further comments?

That's what Crystal Tokyo is,their beautiful future ruled by Serenity(the other senshi must help her to attatin this future,but they do not posses the crystal needed to rule it, nor do any of them want to).

Chibi-Moon isn't incestous. A lot of little girls are in love with their dad! When she is pumped full of evil energy from Wise Man, her pure love for Mamoru turns into lustful want..How can you hate someone who's wish is to just become a lady like her mamma? All I can say to you all is watch all of the anime (NOT DUBBED) and read some manga.

Makoto's probably my least favorite..I just think she's a bit boring.

I agree with everything you said but I'm just going to add my two cents in. ;)

I really can't believe that people can actually hate Sailor Moon. She's the main charecter of the show and the glue that keeps all the other senshi togther. Her pure heart inspires the all the other senshi to fight. Sure she can be a klutz, but thats part of the humor of the show.


The Chibi-Usa bashing has reached the point of being just totally idocy(sp?). As Firefly said, Chibi - Usa loves and respects both her parents a lot. This so called incestous relationship between her and Mamoru is a load of bull. She's away from her parents and wants some one attetion and to be loved. She see the relationship that Usagi and Mamoru have and wants to find some one that will love her like that.

Another reason I think she says that wants to be Mamoru's girlfriend is she's just likes to tease Usagi. She not serious about

Of course she is my fav, so I am biased. I just don't think you can knock someones post of Saturn being stupid and them post one of Makoto being boring.

My least fav are (in accordance with the majority) Usagi and Chibi-Usa. Both of them are brats who were obviously spoiled. They each have to have their own way or they whine about it. They cry entirely too much and have the STUPIDEST attacks. I agree with Firefly that Chibi-Usa's love is pure as a child loves their father. It does get a little weird, but I think that's the way it's supposed to be. As dark LAdy her love was turned to lust, that's true. That's not why I hate her. She is just a whiny little whore bit--! Hotaru memorizes Shakespeare and other literary works at the age of 7 after she's reborn. She's probably the 2nd smartest senshi. Stupid has nothing to do with Hotaru.

As for me not going into detail about that and just saying her post was lame,well,maybe you don't know much about Hotaru.

Anyway, Makoto being boring to me is my opinion. Basically, after the first season she doesn't contribute to my enjoyment of SM. She's just kinda..there..And when she does talk it's about some guy who looks like her old sempai. -_- I dunno, I'm more of a girly-girl, and don't care much for women with masculine qualties,unless they're a lesbian (and act more like a real man). heh. Cause Haruka's a cool gal. And all of the senshi have a colorful past,of the inner's I'd say Minako has the most interesting.Read up on that if you don't know it already.

Bash Usagi and Chibi-Usa all you want,they get the most stories about them,so it doesn't bother me any. And the creator of SM (Naoko) has said Usagi is modeled after her own personality..so,maybe you think she's a crybaby brat too?

You and Firefly have different opinions and have different choices for you like and don't like. Not much more to it then that ;). It's hard to changes someones view on why they like/dislike something.

Myself I don't like that much Sailor Saturn. The reason? I'm always basing myself on the manga, remember. She doesn't have that much of character development, and she doesn't do a lot except for the end of the S series. I didn't get to like her, really.

But I don't dislike any senshi, really. But for some reason, on my 'fave char chart', Sailor Mercury is always the last. I haven't figured why yet, I simply like better all the others I guess.

I hate Chibi-Usa bashers! Seriously, I don't hate any of the senshi at all and here is what an online friend of mine wrote in defence to the little pink princess.


In Defense of ChibiUsa

Well, I sent a shorter version of this to the Support ChibiUsa site. However, since my redecoration here at Filled Nothingness, I thought it would be a good idea to put a fullblown version of my stance on ChibiUsa here, so you can see why I don't get ill when thinking about the pink haired princess, and neither should you.

I think that ChibiUsa is, without a doubt, one of the most misunderstood and mistreated characters in all of anime. People point out that she's whiny and a brat, but they totally ignore why she's like that.

ChibiUsa is a little girl when we first see her. Not a teenager. A small child. People get the anime confused with the manga. In the manga, ChibiUsa is actually around 900 years old when we first see her. The manga mentions how people age when they mature. That's why in the manga, while ChibiUsa starts training to be a senshi, she starts growing by leaps and bounds. She's much taller in the SuperS part of the manga compared to her debut look. However, in the anime she's as old as she looks. In other words, she's probably only 5 in the R season.

Here she is, a young little thing, away from home, away from her parents and others who love her, and even away from her own time. Add to that the fact that she's being hunted down and she knows it, and you have to admit that's an awful lot to be placed on her tiny shoulders. She misses home, she misses her parents, she misses being safe. How can you not expect her to act out a bit? She's going through quite a lot.

Then, she has to deal with how her parents are in the past. ChibiUsa knows Queen Serenity as her mother; beautiful, kind, wise, graceful, soft-spoken Serenity. How does she find her mother in the past? As a whiny, graceless, ditzy loudmouth. She thought Usagi was bad enough before she knew that the blonde was her mother (remember, she didn't know who was part of the Dead Moon Kingdom, so she didn't readily trust most people right off the bat), but she was near horrified to find out that the girl she thought was so irritating was her future mother.

Someone older than ChibiUsa would obviously be shocked by the difference in maturity, but would take into account that there will be happenings in Usagi's life to make her mature into the queen she will become. However, Chibi-Usa is, again, just a child, so her perspective is that of a dissapointed little daughter. So, she clings to the person she recognizes most (Mamoru, who doesn't seem to change that much from his present to future state), and pushes away the person who disappoints her most (Usagi). It's just a natural defense. Hold onto to what you know, and push away what is unfamiliar and possibly painful (who, at ChibiUsa's young age, would ever want to think her mother is less than perfect?).

Also, people always seem to forget that ChibiUsa does not instigate all her fights with Usagi. Usagi herself starts quite a few of them, mainly by teasing ChibiUsa in some way. It's not like Usagi is completely innocent of any wrongdoing when it comes to their relationship. She does her fair share of being a brat herself.

The two girls do get along, you know? Their relationship is very much like Usagi and Rei's relationship in the beginning of the series; fighting like squabbling siblings. However, when the chips are down, they support each other to the end. Because, deep down, they truly do like each other.

People argue about her relationship with Mamoru. How she's apparently in love with him. One must remember that in the beginning of the R season, which is when the crush developed, ChibiUsa was unaware that Mamoru and her father, Endymion, were one in the same. When she does find out, her crush fades, and she clings to Mamoru more to teasingly annoy Usagi, than because she really wants him. Take into account that ChibiUsa gets just as annoyed as Usagi does when some new girl tries to split Mamoru and Usagi up.

Also, one must remember the genre; shoujo anime/manga. Incest, implied or outright stated, is not that uncommon. Take a look at the second OVA for Fushigi Yuugi, or just watch Revolutionary Girl Utena. When you compare it to those and other examples, ChibiUsa's mild and short crush on Mamoru is so utterly tame, it's not even worth getting riled up over.

Then, of course, is her attack. Pink Sugar Heart Attack! C'mon, folks. If you had an attack named like that, wouldn't you think it was just for comic relief? That's what it's for! Comedy. Listen to the music, and watch everyone's reaction when the attack initially won't work. The music is funny, everyone (including ChibiUsa herself) is sweatdropping. This is not a serious, "Oh, no! I can't defend myself. Whatever shall I do?" scene. It's comedy. Also, in the manga, at the end of Stars, she comes back with her Asteroid Senshi, and proceeds to whoop major tail with her Pink Lady's Freezing Kiss attack. She's a bit older when she uses this attack, so it makes sense that she would be able to really fight once she's deemed mature enough.

I'm not even going to discuss stupid reasons to hate her, like her "stealing" Usagi's name. *snorts* Yeah, I can so picture a gurgling baby girl picking out her own name. Whatever.

So, I'll go to SuperS, the apparently "worst" season of SailorMoon. I put that in quotes because, to be honest, I thought the first season was the worst, due to just how much "introducing THIS new character!" and "introducing THIS new origin!" is shoved into it. However, does that make the first season the worst, without a doubt? Of course, not. It's just opinion. And opinions cannot be fact, and vice versa. It's one or the other. Therefore, SuperS can never truly be the worst season of SailorMoon, because it is not fact, but merely some fans' opinions. I happened to like it a great deal.

It's quite obvious that the reason poor SuperS gets so pounded on is due to the major focus on ChibiUsa. Since people consider her too cute for her own good, they think SuperS is too sugary, as well.

Not quite, my dears.

Take a look at the Amazon Trio. Three men (yes, FishEye's a male) who could, at the beginning, care less about who they hurt and why. In every episode we're greeted with their lush-like behavior, as they sit and drink at a bar. And that's no more "lemonade" in their glasses, than Makoto is "talented."

And look how they treat their intended victims. First, they manipulate them callously and gain their trust, unlike any other villains before them, who usually just snuck up behind their target, or just outright attacked them. Then, they shatter that new trust with what has to be a very frightening experience firsthand.

One! A slab appears behind the victim.

Two! The victim, while screaming for help, is manacled to the slab so they can't escape.

Three! Their Dream Mirror is ripped out of their bodies, while the victim is now screaming more in pain than for help.

As if that isn't bad enough, the Trio member then walks over, and sticks their head in the Dream Mirror. Think about it. The Dream Mirror is a portal to someone's innermost thoughts and feelings. Things that people don't want anyone to know of. And, against the victim's will, their secrets are being exposed --and then sometimes even mocked-- by one of the Trio. Then, to make matters worse, once it's over, the victim is immediately slated to die.

This isn't someone just stealing energy, or seeing if your heart crystal is pure or not.

It is, when you get down to brass tax, very much like emotional rape. Not very sugary, is it?

The Amazoness Quartet fair a little better in the department. They knew that the Dream Mirror they were looking for was golden, so all they did was check the mirror. However, to do so they shot their victims in the back. And then they'd leave them their for the youma to kill, if the Senshi didn't constantly stop them.

The SuperS season is far from sugary sweet once you really get down to it. Does Zirconia look at all like a comedic, kiddie villain? Does Nehelania, in her insane quest to destroy the world make you laugh? The season is just as serious as the others, it's just that the focus on ChibiUsa has unfortunately given it a bad rep.

So let's get to the problem a lot of people had with ChibiUsa in SuperS, huh? I do believe the main point of bashing stems from her falling in love with Elios while he was still in his Pegasus form. How can she fall in love with a pegasus? What's wrong with her?

What's wrong with you?

SailorMoon constantly uses refrences from outside sources. Take a look at the S season. The messiah, the Holy Grail... Quite a few Christian parts in it. Did it really follow Christianity? No. But it certainly took elements from it and encorporated it into the story.

So, what does that have to do with the SuperS season? Take a look at how many fairy tale references there are. Heck, they even have a Snow White reference, when Nehelania curses ChibiUsa with "eternal sleep," and Elios' kiss wakes her up!

Have any of you ever read Beauty and the Beast before? Come on, I know every single person reading this has read or seen some incarnation of the story. Be it Disney's movie, or what have you. We all know the tale in some way, shape or form.

We all know how it goes. Beauty eventually falls in love with the Beast. Not the prince he comes to be, but the Beast. Now, why don't we ridicule Beauty? Why don't we ask, "Eh! How can she fall in love with a Beast?" Sure, in the end he winds up being human, but Beauty didn't know that when she fell for him. He was a Beast. In fact, in many versions he's very wolf-like in appearence. Not very humanoid, at all.

Of course, we don't mock Beauty. The story is supposed to show how true love rises above all obstacles. That it doesn't matter what a person looks like on the outside.

ChibiUsa and Pegasus are practically a blatant Beauty and the Beast ripoff. Even to the part where the "Beast" becomes human after Beauty's true feelings for him are known. It's always been pretty obvious to me, and I can't imagine why more people haven't caught the reference yet.

If you don't mock Beauty, you shouldn't mock ChibiUsa.

Oh, I'm sure my arguements won't sway everyone. I'm not expecting them to. However, I do hope they make as many people as possible at least think twice before mouthing off about how "awful," they believe ChibiUsa to be. She's actually a very sweet character, and very much like her mother, even if fans aren't willing to believe it. Usagi herself says that she acted much the same when she was ChibiUsa's age. So, maybe fans should take a step back, a deep breath, and a little time to think of why and if they really should dislike a character that truly doesn't do anything to earn people's scorn.

How can anyone hate ANY of the Sailor Senshi?? :confused2
Sure Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon are annoying, I didn't like Chibi Moon all that much until I heard her Japanese transformation sequence. (Downloaded from a source which shall remain nameless)(kazaa (no you cant see this)) "Moon planetu powa make upu!" :kawaii: you just got to give her time and they'll grow on you, despite their annoyances.
Plus who could hate Ami??
She's Sailor Mercury!
She has the blue battle costume!
She has the blue Mercury wand!
She has that cool visor and computer!
She's the best Sailor Senshi there is! Unhateable! No hate can move against her! It is impossible, it defies the laws of the Universe!
(btw: The Japanese transformation sequences for the Outer Senshi are so cool! :eek: )

:bigclap: yeah,Rascal's friend!! That's what I've been *trying* to say all along. I think people who haven't seen much of SM hate Chibi-Usa,because she's hard to like in the begining of R. And from what I've gathered, everyone who said they hate her has only seen the first couple seasons, and most likely in dub fashion. (She's incestous! She's got red eyes,evil!) My god, why do these people even watch anime..I'm just gonna say this now.. If you have just started to watch anime, and you find Chibi-Usa offending, dear god, stop watching anime while you still can. I personally made Chibi-Usa my 3rd favorite after I saw that she had taken it upon herself to go back in time and save her mother, (after Mamoru read her stories of her momma as Sailor Moon,aw). She's only 5!! Very mature for her age..
Actually, I'm asking any of you here to challenge my theory. Give me one *good* reason why you can hate Chibi-Usa, any of you. Please. I'm serious. I haven't seen one yet.

And Zechs, I don't know how someone can hate any of them. It again, sounds like people who take SM as a passing fancy, (watch it every now and then on t.v..) they most likely never saw any personal episodes about any of the senshi. Naoko's made some of the least annoying characters, they're un-hateable.

Contrary to what you may think, I do not HATE Chibi-Usa. Sure I do not like her, but there is no way I am going to utilise this hatred to take extreme action. You know what I mean: Character Bashing, where the target character is subject to images involving the most hideous of torturing/deaths.
Charcter bashing is just the most stupidiest and pointless of all activities and I'll have no part in such an undertaking.

And just to reiterate, while Chibi-Usa has both her good points and her bad points she doesn't rank as my favourite senshi (Sailor Venus has that honour :o ). Yet this is not enough to justify a full blown war.

(Thankfully nobody on this thread has submitted a list where Sailor Venus ranks as the most hated)

I personally hate Sailor Mercury. For someone who is supposed to be a genius she very dumb. Example, there are NINE planets in the solar system yet in first season there were only four planetary senshi. Why could she never figure out that there were more senshi? When Pluto appeared she still didn't figure out "well Pluto is the LAST planet known and Pluto is the LAST senshi... where are the other three?"

Uranus and Neptune were out traveling a short time before S takes place and before that(before S) the were oridanry people. Lets say that a brief time before S takes place they(inner senshi) decide to go looking for them.

First, thanks for the complament but I don't know everything about Sailor Moon.

How about the fact that they didn't even have all the memories of the past lives at first? They only found about there past as the series went on.

Or it could be a fact that the Outer Senshi never came in contact with the Inners. They were always by there post guarding the universe from outside invanders . Thus the inner senshi never came in contact with them or even know the outer senshi existed. Luna didn't remember about Pluto after they meet her. Plus it wasn't untill Stars that they found out that every planet has a senshi.

It's a no brainer to us,but think of it this way. There was no way for them to know that the other planets had senshi guardians.
Like I said it before it wasn't untill Stars till they knew that
that every planet has a senshi. For all they knew they were the only five senshi out there(six if you count Chibi- Moon,seven if you count Mamoru).

Maybe we should start another thread for this disscussion. We going way off topic here.

Ami is considered a genius in here level, a schoolgirl student, and most of that is academic knowledge in her studying to become a great doctor. Sure she could of though about the other planets and other Senshi, but she, just like the rest of the Sailor Senshi had other more urgent matters to attend to, between saving the Universe, keeping normal lives, and school study, Ami probably didn't have enough time to just sit around and ponder about such things. Ami is a person of science and law, analysis and studying data and coming to logical conclusion. I would think that someone more like Rei who is more attuned to mystical powers would be accustomed to such a task.
But maybe Ami would of figured it out if the creators had done so. Her knowledge only goes as far as the creators made it to be, and they probably never thought of anyone making the connection or conclusion about more Senshi. You'd really have to ask that when season one was being made and Ami appeared, were they thinking of the S and Super S series then?

Sailor Star Maker is not that stuck up at all. Actually Sailor Star Healer is the stuck up one. Anyway, Taiki is a very quiet person and he is really kind to people. For the last time Chibi-Usa does NOT have incest fantasies. I know this has been discussed some before explainong it all. I suggest you go look for it and read it.


To all you Sailor Starlight haters, did you ever think that theres a reson why the Starlights act the way they do towards the other senshi.

The Sailor Starlights main goal on Earth is to find there Princess and nothing else. There Princess is someone they love and care about very much just like other senshi all love and care about Usagi, and there do what ever is nessacary to get her back. At first they don't care about saving the Earth from Galaxia. That wasn't there problem. To them the Sailor senshi were just getting in the way of there mission. However near the end of the series the Starlights grow to respect the senshi and realize that they should help save the Earth and stop Galaxia once and for all. What I'm getting at is that the Starlights have a reason for acting the way that they did. They were just focused on finding they Princess and didn't want anythign to get in there way of that.

So you can love one person despite there fiery temper but not anyone else that has a simular temper. Rei and Yaten's personalities are totally different. The only thing simular about them is there temper.

Taiki insults Ami because of her beliefs. That was the episode with the sceince professor and the telescope. Ami says something about how space is full of love and dreams and Taikia insults her by saying there is no need for love and dream in academics. Like everyone else each Starlight has there own beliefs. Taiki,being a rather level head serious person, disagreed with Ami's belief and that's what he lead to him insulting her. However,at the end of episode his opinion changed.
