So I've started up reading the manga again, picked up where I left off which was somewhere in the beginning of the Baroque arc. Ohh why did I stop reading the manga in the first place? How I miss thee.

Well I'm up to volume 19 now. I believe they are up to volume 37, so I still have quite some more volumes to read through. But it seems like there is still a lot to get through (unless all what I'm about to list is covered between volume 19 to 37). There's the other god pirates (or whatever) that still need to be introduced so far we (well I) only know of Crocodile who I assume will be beaten in the Baroque arc and Mihawk who Zoro still needs to settle something with. Shanks and his crew is out there. Captain Smoker and Tashigi are on the Going Merry's tail. Luffy's brother Ace has just recently been introduced but left quite abrutly. And I'm sure theres some other things I haven't listed.

Anyway it's great to be back reading One Piece again.

how far r u now, reading the manga?

i am up to 37 so far n this part of the story is really great.
i just wonder about some people.
cause every now and then some people from the marine show up that r really strong, but then they disappear again.
when will we see them again n what about the seven samurais, havent seen any of them lately or blackbeard n his crew, also disappeared!

All this time, I wasn't even aware of a One Piece forum. Either that or I kept overlooking it somehow... or maybe I just forgot. In any case, I'm a dork.

I stopped following the manga somewhere in the Water 7 arc... maybe about a year ago? I forget, anyway, I dropped it so I could enjoy the anime more. Following the anime while the manga was fresh in my head just made it less entertaining since I knew everything that was gonna happen. Now, since it's been ages since I read the Sky story arc (where the fansubbed anime is at currently), it feels all new to me and it's definitely more enjoyable.

This post has no relevance to this thread, but I didn't feel like creating another thread just for that since it's obvious this forum gets very little usage.

I'm up to chapter 396 (just past volume 40), the flashbacks of Nico Robins past and what not. I'm really enjoying the CP9 arc, it's going to be a good showdown between them and the Strawhats. How cool was Luffy when he took out the CP9 with the devil fruit powers to make doors!

Yes characters have popped up and made appearances here and there, like the marine Akoji with the ice powers, White Beard and Ace, that mysterious Dragon fellow. Looks like there's still quite a lot to cover in the series, which only means one thing ... more One Piece!

@ oppa.
It's still the Water 7 arc really, been going for quite a while now. Quite an epic arc dare I say. I'm just reading the manga because it's quicker and easier to acquire than the anime.

God damn that's alot of volumes!!! Sigh I remember stopping at vol 20, but lost track of the story for awhile, I think now would be a good time to start from the beginning. The rate the story is going though, I wouldn be surprised if it went for another 40 volumes.

Wow!! I've just started back to reading One Piece again. I've fallen in love again with this manga! Just totally awsome. I've read over 120+chapters in a span of 2 days. Last chapter I left off was 89. I've just reached the Sky Island Arc. Can't wait to see what happens next. :)

Of course One Piece is the best thing ever haha.

I found Skypeia average, but boy the next major arc (Water 7/CP9/Enies Lobby) is absolutely awesome, best story arc to date and the post arc chapters reveal a lot of interesting things but that means a lot more things need to be revealed (which will result in more volumes - not that that's a bad thing).

Holy Sh!t!! I've just made it to the Water 7 Arc....Talk about dramatic things happening all over. I'm on chapter 331 now. I never would've imagined that Luffy and Usopp would come to blows like this. Even more interesting is where has Robin disappeared to? Will she betray them like Akoji said? She's been too quite so I'm assuming she has some type of plan she's hiding. Well, I have a little over a 100 chapters left, so I'll probably get the answers to these questions before I reach the end. Man, this manga is just too exciting right now! :D

I'm sorry I posted so quickly again, but I have to say that chapters 331-333 are the best chapters of manga that I've read in a long time. So much emotion and....it's just so hard and sad to put into words. :( I just hated that it had to come to this.

WTF!!! I'm in the CP9 Arc right now....this is getting too serious now. The thing that pisses me off the most is how Luffy screamed out for Robin, but when Usopp was trying to tell him the truth, he dismissed Usopp so easily. I was really disappointed in Luffy as Usopp proved himself to be a valuable crewmate and a good friend, while Luffy didn't know too much about Robin. Usopp was right the whole time and look at the situation Luffy and his crew is in right now. Well, in any case, at the pace I'm reading, I'm sure this will be resolved in an interesting manner.
