Why does Tetsuo have so much anger for Kaneda

As soon as Tetsuo starts going nuts, he seems to be out to get Kaneda. While for most part Kaneda just wants to help out his "Little Brother", his friend Tetsuo. Tetsuo seems to be a bit of a loner. And apart from Kaori, Kaneda seems to be the only one who really cares about him. Even his fellow gang members seem to treat him like a hanger on.

Why does Tetsuo want to kill Kaneda? Is it because he somehow blames Kaneda for what happened to him? Is it to prove to Kaneda that he is better than him? After all Kaneda did treat him like a kid a lot. Or is it because Tetuso wants to kill everyone, and Kaneda just wants to help and he gets in the way all of the time?

It's mostly out of jealousy resentment. Tetsuo at the beginning of the film and the comics was sort of the youngest one and thus also the weakest member of Kaneda's gang. Kaneda watched out for Tetsuo like an older brother would for his younger sibling. However when Tetsuo powers awakened that became a different story altogether. Tetsuo no longer feels he needs to be watched out for by his "older brother". Tetsuo hates that people, Kaneda in particular, had to watch out for him his whole life. Also his powers have started to make him somewhat psychotic. So his view on Kaneda I'm sure became very warped.

I'd also chalk it up to the fact that Kaneda wanted to stop Tetsuo with a frickkin' laser. I mean c'mon I don't think you would be too happy either that someone who was your friend at one point was trying to attack you with a laser cannon.

However thinking back on it, I don't that Tetsuo wanted to kill Kaneda in the movie or comic ever. He was more wanting to show off his power and if that happened to kill him then so be it.

Tetsuo has always been the loser and Kaneda is the cool leader who always has everything going for him, good looks, leadership(respect), girls and the kick-ass bike. All his life he wanted to be Kaneda and suddenly he has all this power but still no respect, everyone still treats him like a loser and the only one he could blame is Kaneda for always making him look bad, even if he didn't do it on purpose.
