i have a vague memory of things, but wasn't that scene referring to Kaoru's realisation that lilith was on the cross and not Adam ?

'I understand now! The lillim, Lillith!"
I would ssay that Kaworu discovered that the being in Dogma was lillith, and that these human's came from liilith, or something as such. Eva 2000, care to elaborate?

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Well o.k. Kaouru originally thought that Lilith was Adam right? Upon reaching Lilith he realised that this wasn't the case. As to "I understand now" I think he's referring to the connections between the Lilim (Humans) angels (he refers to them as "Natus de Adamo" or something similar) the Evas (again "Natus de Adamo" Implying that they are of the same makeup as angels) and Lilith herself. **phew**
Tabris also realises that SEELE fooled him into trying to merge with Lillith....
Maybe.... but I still don't see how it would make a difference. Kaouru was on the brink of unleashing the Third Impact, and stops for love (non-sexual you weird ppl) of Shinji. IMHO.
yeah probbably to, But Seele did send him their to merge with Lillith.... how Seele made him believe that the thing on the cross was Lillith is unimportant.... lol. So he must of thought to himself.... "Ahhh..... Haaaaa! thats what those bastards at Seele were trying to make me do"...
Here is a question..... if Adam was actually the thing on the cross.... would Tabris of not stopped and merged with it?
but again my question - would it have made a difference?
Kaoru:I've been destined to live forever, even if humanity is annihilated as a result. However, I am able to die. To be or not to be. It makes no difference to me.
My death is the only absolute liberty.
This is after he realises that it is Lilith. So what would the difference have been? Does it really make a difference whether it is Adam or Lilith? Or is Lilith really the final goal from the beginning?
I think I might be missing something... :)
"but again my question - would it have made a difference?"
If Seele had told Tabris what to do or not... no it wouldn't of.
"This is after he realises that it is Lilith. So what would the difference have been? Does it really make a difference whether it is Adam or Lilith?"
But it would make a different if Adam was on the cross, if it was Adam, Tabris woundnt of hesitated and 3rd impact would of occured then.
When I replied to your message the first time, I wasnt contradicting or even challenging your statement, I just was adding to it, saying that Tabris also realised that Seele had fooled him, Not that was the ONLY thing he realised.
What I'm asking is would it have been a different Third Impact if Kaouru fused with Adam as opposed to Lilith. It's rhetorical of course.
