is it just me or can sasuke use his sharingons whenever he want? like he can turn them normal at any time?or is that just because they are in complete yet?(i am at the chunin exam part) :confused:

All members born into the Uchiha clan have the ability to obtain the sharingan. To get it in the first place they must be placed into a life or death battle which activtes their latent ability.

Once they have the sharingan the number of sworls show how "mature" they are with it. When Sasuke gains it he has two sworls in one eye and one in the other. A bit later on he has two in each. When he matures a bit more he'll have the full three in each.

The sharingan can be activated at any time the user desires, it has to be fueled by chakra though so it's unlikely to be left active at all times.

There is another stage to the sharingan but you'll find out about that later in the series.

that's not really what i mean. i mean like his eyes can "look" normal at any time while kakashi has to hide his in order not to use them. also, sasuke has two but kakshi only has one, do you think that this is a sign that sasuke will be stronger?

Kakashi isn't a member of the Uchiha clan.

Kakashi had two teammates when he was a Genin - the same as all Genin. One of them was a member of the Uchiha clan who had gained the Sharingan ability. Said member was killed during a mission, before he died he had the third member of the team, a medi-nin, transplant one of his Sharingan eyes into Kakashi.

Kakashi can use the Sharingan much the same as if he was a normal Uchiha member, but because he doesn't have the blood of an Uchiha clan member it costs him a lot in strength to use it. Remember how he collapses after the first battle with Zabuza? That's why he keeps it covered - he can't turn it off and as long as he can see with it his strength is being drained.
