can anyone else tell the difference in the animators styles?

this is through out all of the sailor moon series. some days the episodes will be really nicely done then others their faces are all fat and oblongue shaded. and they look kinda wierd.

its allways bugged the ---- out of me. i know that they need more than one animator, but cant they do a better job on making them look similar.

this is my complaint for the day.

I agree. I have seen some bad drawings in Sailormoon S. Have you seen how Haruka was drawn in episode 98? I thought it was horrible. Sailor stars I thought had the best looking drawings.

I suppose the differences from episode to episode were due to different animators.....there were obviously a couple of lead animators who drew the characters really well, and a couple who didn't, but the pressure of having to produce a weekly television series was too much for them to worry too much about the style being completely consistent.

The main stylistic difference was in Stars though, it looked like more money in general was being spent on the character animation-not just special attacks. Plus, the characters all seem to have gotten a bit of a re-design-they all lost about 25 pounds:)

The only thing that bothered me about the Stars season character designs was that the necks were so thin that their heads looked like Lollipops on sticks sometimes, but what can you do......

I did like it when they introduced haruka and michiru with all the flowers and watercolored pictures. that was prettiful.

The Stars animation was 10x better...and I loved the opening song. :)
