Why do I fall for the confusing series?! HELP!

What's up with the scard face dude? WHY DOES HE THINK KILLING PEOPLE IS A MISSION OF GOD?! What's up with ED he's one of the most confusing...

It doesn't clear up... Oh... AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GIRL WITH PINK AND BROWN HAIR?! (first episode I think... And she was in a flashback in another episode.) IS SHE DEAD?! :confused: :bawling:

Let's see what can I remember.

The X scar faced fellows name is Scar (not very imaginative eh), he's from Ishbal who were well massacered by the army, namely the State Alchemists. So he has a vendetta against them and thus his mindless slaughter of the alchemists. Is the girl you're talking about Nina? If so yes she is dead, his father transmutated her into a half dog chimera hybrid thing, she runs lose, stumbles across Scar, and well Scar blew her up because he felt sorry for her.

What's confusing about Ed?

My advice would be to not skip 20 or so episodes and try to pick up what's going on.
It gets very complicated and you'll always be confused unless you watch it all.

Scar not only has a vandetta against state alchemist but he saw how alchemy twisted and consumed his brother so he consider alchemy something taboo for humans.

As for the girl,I believe you're talking about Rose.She's not dead,in fact she returns ater in the series (Although IMO she deserves death for being so stupid.If I was Ed I would have hit her head with a sledgehammer for the stunt she pulled)

There isn't that much to understand.First he tries to find Philosopher's Stone to fix himself and his brother.Then when he finds the price of making a tru Stone he reconsiders all the while Ed as well as other alchemist rethink on who gave them the right to re-shape the world as they please.

Also Ed feels terribly guilty for what happened to Al,wich is why he doesn't mind being a dog of the military and enduring any trials possible to help return his brother to his real body.

I quess I was confused about why he was in the military if he hated so much... I knew he felt gulity about his brother... But I knew he'd do anything for his brother because of that.... I wonder why I was confused. :confused:

Yeah, you really need to watch the rest of the series to undestand. I thought it did a very good job of explaining everything by the end.
