She didn't treat him that badly really. She just didn't respect him and saw him as an obstacle between her and Sasuke.

We shall see. Sakura is one of my least favorite in the series. I agree with the Hinata hook up.
Hinata will never hookup with Naruto. That whole situation is ripped right out of the modern day anime romance in an action series plot. At most, he'll figure out she likes him and he may like her, but they'll never actually get together.

Well, from what I've read so far in the manga, I don't see Naruto hooking up with anybody, anytime soon. Especially Sakura, he can forget that. She's still hung-up on Sasuke and he's the enemy! As for Hinata, poor girl is just too shy. She's definately too soft spoken for Naruto. He needs someone like his type, which unfortunately happens to be Sakura. Things may change, but I wouldn't hold my breath though.

Not too likely. I've been following the fan subbed manga which the anime will be following. So far Hinata has only seen Naruto once. I don't imagine a romance arc will be coming anytime soon.
However, marrying Hinata would play into one of Naruto's claims. During the fight against Neji, Naruto stated that he would change the destiny of the Hyuuga clan. Despite her lesser strength, Hinata is still the heir.

In regards to Naruto and either Ino, Tenten or Temari being narutos partner, it comes down how the personalities clash together and the resulting outcomes.

The author seems to like the idea of generational cycles and an almost symbolic form of "reincarnation" ... that said, Naruto bears an uncanny resemblance to jiraiya and perhaps a touch of the 4th hokage in terms of personality.
... and if we take the comparision one step further the legendary 3 ... are all single. Its like the saying in each persons life their is only room for 1 great love.
Naruto = Ambition to become accepted by the community and to become Hokage
Sasuke = Revenge/acknowledgement from his older brother.
Sakura = Love for Sasuke?
Interestingly it appears that Jiraiya had a crush on Tsunade when young ... similar to Naruto's affection for Sakura (if the model holds true, then destiny has other plans for the next generation's Legendary 3.
Incidental speculation ... was or is there any indication that Tsunade had feelings for Orochimaru? (I think there is an episode that shows that she did love another ... but was that the "great love") That would IMO be a clincher for me interms of the authors intent to dramatize the karmic repetition of history.
So far, the notable pair that seem plausible (if problematic) is Temari and Shikamaru ... but if they ever get together what happens to their Ninja affiliation? Do they become Sandy Leaf Ninjas or perhaps Sand & Leaf with the stylized leaf over a bed of symbolic sand? ... or maybe its more brutal than that, the individuals have to choose allegience so that one has to give up their home clan ... :lol:
