I decided to make a list of Naruto power levels. But they aren't very big since DBZ is so over powered.

What are you basing this on? I don't get it. Also I get the impression that power is hard to measure in Naruto. Someone with pinpoint needle accuracy can be just as powerful as a chakra spammer.

I'm basing this on DBZ power levels. Except i'm just puting Naruto if they were in the DBZ universe. DBZ makes almost everyone look like weaklings.

DBZ had actual level numbers? Oh man, that thing was made for merchandising from top to bottom eh?

For some reason it offends me that you compare the two. Even though its an obvious comparison to make.

Never forget, "It's over Nine Thousand!"

I must protest against Haku's level of power and that the inverted problem with the Nine Tail Fox, both should be much more higher.

Yeh I didnt even look at the numbers. Looking at them now I wonder how you can rate a dropout at 21 whilst a bloodline genius is only 20.

Lets not forget that Haku not only pinned down Sasuke & Naruto, he also spent a great deal of energy ensuring that the harm he inflicted couldn't result in serious injury. Haku could have hit their vitals in the first volley of needles.

Frankly I still think numbers are silly. Even when converting an MMO to an anime they are not so lame as that. Numbers are just a cheap way of commentating and describing a character's growth without actually putting in the work to demonstrate the growth. In fact, Id say that DBZ needed the numbers because to an outsider like me, the characters were completly stagnant. If they got stronger, so did their opponent, to the point where they may as well be sitting still.

In other anime where the character gets more powerful, there is always a non-moving target against which you can judge that character. An example of this would be various jonin in naruto, but also characters like Ebisu. Sure, the fight between Iruka and whats-his-name was a fairly simple shuriken battle, but even 200 episodes on, its not clear whether Naruto (for all his power), can match Ebisu or Iruka. (I have only seen to ep 125, but I doubt he's grown much since then due to filler)

Well, pretty much i'm judging these power levels on power chart i found on DBZ of how strong objects are and stuff. And the power chart that i saw made everyone look weak. Oh, and when you have a power levels of lets say about 300 then you can already made an enormous crater with the best attack. And when you are in the early thousands or less you can already blow up a stupid entire moon. DBZ seems to make almost every character ever made look weak. Heck, i saw Nappa at 4,000 for goodness sake and he freaking made a endless whole in the earth, i don't think Naruto even in nine tails could blow up an entire moon or planet. But at least i no it can flatten mountains at full nine tails.

Actually Id say that the DBZ universe is the weak one. If matter falls apart that easily, and gravity is so weak, then obviously the characters are going to inherit the weaknesses of their universe.

Hell, just the idea that you can destroy a moon is ridiculous. Again I find it stupid to even compare that ridiculous made-for-advertising anime with anything else. DBZ is for munchkins.

Actually, I am thinking that DBZ has evolved into the dreaded "Looney Tunes" zone where plot or gag devices can mandate "unlimited" power upon need. If such power drives the plot, is funny or can serve some other directorial service then its "granted" to the character ...

For example, look at something like Duck Dodgers and Marvin the Martian ... planet zapping or total disintigration is nothing ... anything goes in such scenarios. Well, DBZ is not quite this bad, but its close ... unfortunately, due to its immense popularity, the franchise was milked by extending the series ... this had the unfortunate effect of mandating more powerful enemies - which in turn cycled up the power levels to absurd levels with no way to moderate them ... after all where do you go if with a x level "Super Saiyan Combined" at the end of a season when he (or she) beats everyone?

The obvious solution is to set the stage for an even more powerful enemy ... something like - the last dying words of the defeated arch villian .... ahhhh, you have defeated me <hahahahah> but don't feel to smug, among my kind, I am considered the weakest! YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST US .... <coughs up blood ... staggers> I will be avenged AZIELLLLLL ...AGGG HAAAAAAAAAAAA <blows up and takes planet with him>

<backnote:
Aziel is the next oldest in a line of brothers (or family members ) totalling something like 25  Each one having their own "special retainers with powers">

<cut to a dark and murky scene showing a shadowy figure radiating immense power levels ... majestic, huge, darkly noble ... eyes blazing .. a lone tear of blood emerging.

<shouts to the sky and points his fist up ... and fires a ki blast that rips through the atmosphere ...
"There is now where you can hide demon I WILL AVENGE YOU BABY BROTHER ... THIS I SWEAR!

Aziel:
"LOKI MY CHARIOT!"
<stylized open chariot drawn by what looks like a battered mystical dragon with an eyepatch ...

<cut to a scene of an opulant palace of global proportions ... Throneworld!

Prince:
"Father, Aziel is on the move ... he was always close to Lore ... I ... can feel is rage from here .

.. I fear that the time has come.

Emperor:
"hmmmm ... we shall see ...observe for now"

What will xxxxxxx do? Who is AZIEL!? Stay tuned for scenes of the next thrilling episode of Dragon Ball Omega "Eye of the Storm"

DBZ and Naruto you could compare them but it seems pointless to give Naruto characters power levels. Anyhow Naruto when he gets Rasengan or when the he gets the 3rd (or is 4th) tail from the kyuubi blows up a huge area and even hurts sakura. It was a crater so I'd say he easily by then would almost have a power level of 1000. anyhow DBZ levels are so overexaggerated. Gohan is supposed to have like 1 000 000 000 power thats the examples I've seen and there just hopeless. Gohan at the beginning had a power level of 1370 and blew up a mountain. the differences between the to shows are to great to compare. Nice try at the power levels though^-^
