Leonardo DiCaprio? Akira? He's a great actor but....I don't know about this. Akira is definately a anime classic. I'm hoping he won't mess this up.

Nothing official has said he will be acting in the film; just producing (his company also helped produce The Aviator). Leonardo DiCaprio is a big fan of the Akira manga.

In addition, keep in mind that there are non-Japanese roles in the Akira manga that he could easily fill were he to truly have a role in this adaptation.


None the less, I also hope this is done well.
