So lately I've been listening to some anime soundtracks and I'm looking for some recommendations from fans of soundtracks. The ones I've been listening to and enjoying so far are of course Cowboy Bebop, but I've also been listening to the soundtracks to Giant Robo and Gurrenn Lagann. I tend to like the more orchestral stuff that sounds more like traditional Western soundtrack music, though I've also been enjoying the soundtracks to FLCL and Cowboy Bebop which have "house bands" if you'll pardon that expression. So if you have any suggestions feel free to make them.
