Tenshi Muyo is just like Seinfeld : It's a show about nothing.
It is, Apart from the Few action sequences It's just like Seinfeld.
Each episode is about the Girls wanting to be Tenshi Boyfriend
I'm not saying either Show is bad, I like them both, but they are about Nothing

Couldn't I say the same about some other shows?
Dragonball Z is a show about nothing, with a villain every once in awhile and everyone just fighting to be stronger.
Ranma 1/2 is a show about nothing, with girls (and Kunou) fighting over Ranma and boys fighting over Akane.
Flame of Recca is a show about nothing, with a big tournament and some Elemental Weapons.
Yuyu Hakusho is a show about nothing, with a big tournament and some strong fighters.
Rurouni Kenshin is a show about nothing, with an 'Oro'ing Rurouni and some various villains.
Well, I was just bored, hope you don't mind.

Well, let me just say, my descriptions are pretty acurate, even though they leave. . .a lot out.
Kinda like your description of Tenchi? ^_^;;
Or, were you describing the TV Series?

I've seen the TV series (13 episodes) and 1 Movie (Tenchi Muyo in Love)

Well, that may be your problem.
I've only seen the first 6 or so episodes of the Tenchi tv series, but I don't think it's as good as the OAV series.

But unlike Seinfeld,

Tenchi, the main character does not really get many lines.

With a good deal of Anime an' Manga series, the reason they're addictive isn't so much as the plot itself whereas it's the characters. An' I must say, Tenchi Muyo! has a _WIDE_ variety..

Earlier today, in fact, I had a buddy over for a short while, and she asked me, "Why is Dragon Ball so damn popular? Nothing happens but the characters beathing the crap outta eachother with a miniscule plot line! WHY?!?"
I answered similarly, and we got into a debate, ironically, much like this, began naming series, and sliced them all down to the basics..the outcome was quite interesting..*then we got offa it and worked on Doujinshi..*

But, back to my original point, it's the characters, and how they're developed. Each is a basic manifestation of some type of lifestyle or personality, and in Anime and Manga, there's vast character development so one almost feels they get to know that character. Honestly, at the end of any Anime/Manga series, you're probably able to name why you like or loathe a character.

Tenchi is kinda like pop music. It isn't exactly deep, but you enjoy it anyway. Besides, I'd take Tenchi over Britney Spears and the likes any day.

Who is this britney girl anyway, i see the name but i have never seen her, what does she do??

Back to Tenchi.

In the OAV there isnt much of character development. Now that im starting to see the other stuff (which is not that good) there are small attempts to do some character development.

But the OAV is great. Like Slayers, sit back put it on and wind the old brain down.

Now the Manga there is character development, in fact i consider the Manga to be the 3rd OAV, just on paper.

One word describes Britney Spears... Or should I say 4 letters...

(s - (l) - (u) - t)

Well maybe I'm wrong, Heheh.. ^_^;;
Anyways, Tenchi Muyo is a good series, even if it is just another Seinfield type show, or however you spell it. The series itself has lotsa variety, and uh, depth, sorta.. -_-()
