im in lindblum for the first time and she poisoned me and the others and went with the knight to do something. i got to the dragon gate and i dont know which way to go from there. also i think there is a chocobo place nearby and i want a chocobo!! is there anything like repel in pokemon to stop monsters from attacking you??

okay, i didn't worry about chocobos thru the entire game until i had to because i thought the game was too easy already. so i don't know if there's a specific point in the game you have to pass first or not. but just play the hot/cold game.

okay, unfortunately, i don't remember exactly what to do there, i believe however, that they mention you needing to turn Cid back into himself. i believe that you have to go to Treno which from there you can get to Bermecia. or something of the sort. WHENEVER you are lost, then go to a Marsh and talk to the Moogles, and they will tell you where you need to go nExt.

..have you played ANY final fantasy game before this one?

i played ff7 for a few hours and ff8 till i had to fight the brothers but i was just borrowing those so i didnt get good at them.

ahh, that explains it, i was just wondering why you were having so much trouble... that's all. i personally found ffIX to be much easier than the previous. but no offense, i'm glad you're starting to play somewhere atleast^^

anyway....so you gott'a find the princess, and want chocobos eh...?
well,it's the first time there, right? what cha' gott'a do is head Zidane's party to Bermecia, and do the stuff there, which includes fighting Beatrix(spelling?) after that, it should switch to disc 2(oh ya, there is NO WAY to beat Beatrix, after you get her to around 1,500 damage, she uses shock break, and makes everyone have 1 HP, and the battle ends)that should transfer to steiner + the princess. do that stuff, meet the two Tantalus people at the station, and go to alexandria. your characters will meet later there

to get chocobos, go to the chocobo forest, and talk to the moogle, and agree to do the stuff(just hit yes) nothing to do with the hot and cold game. after yes, the chocobo will run out, and the moogle gives you gyshal(spelling?) greens and everytime you use them by chocobo tracks, the chocobo will come! and sometimes stay there!!

(Trust me, I'm one of the losers that has all the final fantasy games, and I've beat FF9 twice already)
