I don't know how many of you are familiar with it, but before I say or ask too much, I'm wondering if any of the rest of you have seen, are fans of, or are aquainted with Weiß Kreuz...^^;

I've heard of it.
Never seen any of it though :(
It worth watching? (Probably is, or you wouldn't bring it up)

*nods enthusiastically* If the chance manifests itself, I strongly suggest 'ya see WK!
Basically, it's a group of four assasins, Aya(Koyasu Takehito), Yoji(Miki Shin'ichirou), Ken(Seki Tomokazu) and Omi(Yuuki Hiro). Sayin' any more would be a biiit of a giveaway, but each is a complex character.
..and, of course, Weiß Kreuz is a bigass fangirl Bishie magnet.
The seiyuu also act as a J-pop group (and, damn, they are good..heh)
..I have, so far, _seen_ all of the series,(own up to episode 8) and am hoping to get my hands on the new OVAs soon...guu..

Sounds good.
Although the 'Bishie magnet' part, well, I'd rather not comment on that.
I'll try to get around to seeing that though.
But, I just got Saber Marionette J in the mail today, and really gotta watch that.

I've seen it, but frankly I was disappointed by the quality of the animation (especially compared to the promo artwork, which is very stylish). Also the odd way in which many people get hacked/slashed/killed, but noone actually bleeds. Strange, given it aired at midnight in Japan, but mebbe they thought females wouldn't like blood so much. It is pretty much a seiyuu vehicle like Kaikan Phrase is, aimed at the female market (also given the amount of merchandise related to the series you can get). I would say the character designs are certainly VERY liberal interpretations of the way the seiyuu look, however, or else Aya would have a mouthful of teeth from Hell (man that guy has bad teeth).

I am interested to see the OVAs tho, if only because the animation standard must surely be more up to scratch.

Yes, the original artwork is gorgeous compared to the WK anime...
..an' Koyasu-sama may have bad teeth, but he's a Seiyuu, not live Actor...(Japanese Austin Powers...O.o)

I _hope_ the new OVAs animation quality is much better...it certainly should be with the industry t'day..

Of course, if they were based off the Seiyuu, Yoji would be even _SCRAWNIER_, Omi would have nice, long black hair, Ken wouldn't be anything like Ken, an' Aya would be th' most accurate outta th' bunch...it kinda works both ways...

You didn't get the chance to see the OVA? Let me tell you, you'll be shocked. It's more that bloody and damn serious throughout the whole time that you're nearly getting heartattacks at certain points. *nods*
Oh, and in case people forgot or don't know, the group the Weiß members formed exists no longer. Just wanted you to tell this.

Bloody is not the right word for it. :heh:
A friend of mine sent me a few screenshots right after he watched the OVAs for the first time and I was more than shocked.

While I believe it's true that Weiß has publicly disbanded, I don't think that they've just all gone their seperate ways, either...

And the OVA, well, it's a mind bender in the way that most OVA are. Go see it, go go!
