Which is better?

Which do you concided better? The original or 2040??

Im buying both any way just want to know how ppl stand about it.

this is a very interesting question. some hard core fans of the oav absolutely HATE the new 2040 series. dunno why. maybe because of the drastic change in character designs, as well as deeper plot and storyline?

I personally loved both. the oav had kick arse music! but the new one has great new character designs, and the storyline just hooked me.

I like both but imo 2040 is the better of the two :D

I prefer the original BGC series, but that maybe due to the fact that I've only seen dubbed version of BGC 2040 (as you can't get the subtitled versions or the DVD's in the UK). Also, I love the music to the original series; the music in BGC 2040 hasn't really grown on me (yet)..., :)

i like 2040 much better mainly because its newer anime it has a better storyline and better animation

K. So 2040 is the fav here. Persnaly i recon they (i think ive said this already) both rule but in different ways.

They both have their advantages, I like the stories in 2032 slightly more but 2040 has more depth. Music is better in the original. Theyre a tie for me. Originally i'd say 2032/33 but 2040 has really grown on me

I really like the new one... but I haven't seen the original one yet... a friend told me of it... it had better music... but the plot is better in this one... =^_^=

I personally prefer the original series slightly more than the new series. Tokyo 2040 has better animation and graphics, but the stories and music in the original had too much of an impact on me.

They sort of break even for me, though I saw the original first, so that has kindda impacted me. Both good, though.

i like tokyo 2040 'coz of its animation but if you ask me for the OST, then i suggest the original...

Crash is OK, not as good as the original. A lot of fans see it as tacked on to give a little closure

2040 isn't that good because it isnt too creative so dont bother with it. Trust me, youll be happy when you take my advice

I personaly think that the origonal was much better than 2040. The storyline in 2040 was not as good in the ova done by kenichi sonoda. Plus i think the action scenes music and ( i am a fan of 80s style animation, it may not be as detailed but what the heck) animation are better.
