Who remembers the part of the series when Shinji, Rei and Asuka are doing the sync tests in the nude. The part I am talking about is just after they are put through the wash cycle 17 times. The camera just outside the wash area is off but the red light comes on around the same time Asuka says no peeking. I wonder who turned the camera back on? In my opinion it would had to have been Gendo, the dirty old man.

This probably a perveted question. Was Gendo just sexually interested in Rei or did he have actually feelings for her?
He knew he could always replace her but he still felt the need to talk to her and such.

I have to say that Gendo has some sort of perverted feelings towards Rei. Another clue to this is when they are in terminal dogma where the Rei clones are, the machine in the centre with the tube Rei stands in. If I am correct Rei is always in that with no clothes, and Gendo is always their watching. Does this perversion have anything to with Yui, as Rei is part Yui? I think so!

Gendo didn't have feelings for rei in that sense...He "loved" her because she was the embodiment of his wife not because she was beautiful ;).

i was never quite sure how gendou felt toward rei. i wasn't sure whether he felt "that" way about her, or if he felt as if he were his daughter (after all she is the same age as his son, and he is from his wife, as is his son) :confused2
