Is it just me?? LAIN - Duvet

is it just me? or does the opening theme for LAIN sound awfully like the band "the Cranberries"?

when i first heard it, i thought it was. but later on i found out i wasnt. but still, does anyone else see the resemblence in vocal style?

I thought it sounded more like a Sarah Mclauflane(sp?) song.
I did see the resemblance to The Cranberries too.

Boa might have been influenced by them or something.

Not really.... they sound entirely different to me (probably cuz I listen to too much music), but based on the "I am falling" line from this song and the "Did you have to let it linger" line from the Cranberries song Linger, I can see the similarities. They both hit the same pitch and tone.

They sound really different to me. The Crnaberry's lead singer tends to have a whiny quality at the end of her phrases. I think the siger in Boa is really good.

*cringes* the cranberries. yeah i think so too. i never really noticed though, until one day when i made my friend and boyfriend listen to it, and they both pointed that out. and because of that they hate the song.

the only resemblance that i see between the Sound of the Cranberries and Boa is the fact that the lead Vocalists both have British accents and the music of both groups consists of guitars, a bass, and a set of drums.
