I would like to know which of the spells presented in the series YOU think is the most powerfull of them all...

And something else... help me create a name for a spell in a self-idealized story based on several anime series I've seen... please...

Ok, firstly, the Giga Slave has to be the strongest spell ever to exist in Slayers. Also the kewlest. ~_^
Secondly... hmm... I've got a lot of self-made japanime stories. Don't think I've ever used one of the Slayers spells though (aside from fireball). My strongest one has to be Phoenix Firebird Glory or Celestial Thunder. What's your spell do? Maybe that'll help you come up with a name.

Though the Dragon Slave is highly destructive and has a low expenditure of energy, allowing the caster to use it twice in a row, Demons can see it coming from a mile away (often literally) and hence it is quite easy to dodge.

Well, the Giga Slave IS strong (No Duh), but the ever present risk of destroying the world every time you cast it precludes it from being a useful and reliable spell.

Now, here's the champion. The Ragna Blade:

Why?

1) Sheer Versatility. Not only can it be used offensively, but it can also be used as a key to open doors to other worlds. Also, whereas when a blast misses, that's it, you can attempt to strike a foe again with a sword should you fail your first attempt.

2) In the hands of a skilled swordsman or martial artist, it is a malestrom of destruction that can potentially wipe out multiple foes as long as the caster concentrates, as opposed to a single powerful foe.

3) Energy Expenditure. Although a physically weak caster would hang on death's door just casting it once, an experienced thaumaturgist with inexhaustible chi (like an Antedeluvian Vampire) would have an ever ready and formidable arsenal any time they need it.

4) Long Duration. Or more correctly, as long as the caster concentrates, he can keep on killing as long as he wants and /or if he has enough chi.

5) It looks so DAMN COOL!!

THe Giga Slave by far. It draws on the power of chaos. or the essence of the Universe.

Though I'd have to say that an Amplified Rah Tilt channeled into the sword of light would be more powerful against a monster

Giga Slave and Ragna Blade works well on EVERYTHING, both spells draw power from the Lord of Nightmares (i will call her L-Sama from now on ... :) )

Draw backs of these spells is that you need great amounts of energy to cast these spells and the spells themselves are hard to control.

My understanding of the Giga slave is that it is more than just the power of L-sama: it IS the Lord of Nightmares. In other words, since it is more of a summoning spell wether or not it works depends on if L-sama feels like helping you blow up the target. If not... Bye. As for the Ragna blade, its advantage is also its disadvantage. If you can't hit someone with a sword, its useless. And range does count. You can't throw the thing, ya know.

Giga slave is in fact.

Spoiler

somewhat like a summoning spell. Lina summoned L-sama at the end of Next and she killed Hellmaster without even trying

She draws L-samas memories into her, much like in the sense that when the Water Dragon King died his memories became the Claire Bible and Aunty (Watch Slayers Next) I'm not sure if the Giga Slave is 100% a summoning spell as when Lina wasn't attacked while casting it (Shabranigdo) It came off as a standard Dragon Slave, L-sama only took over Lina when Philbrizzo attacked her with a peircing spell.
