The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2
I'm downloading the first 3 episodes of this series now. What are people's thought's on this? Is it as good as the first season or have they dropped the ball already?

How mature is this sequel? Is the setting still in high school or will we see the characters moving over to university/college?

Pengi_Ken-Ohki 03-07-2009 04:28 AM

You realise that according to the canon, the high school is potentially just a 'setting', created only a few years prior?

Well the 4th ep just came out and they are decent i just hope some new material comes soon

ACE2001 03-07-2009 05:13 PM

Im not going to lie. This series is all too confusing for me. To realize that there is so much material out there and that this series operates on random situations at times! Haha.:) It's a little hard for me to grasp the story.

I havent seen the second series, but I know the first one aired out of order. That really amped up how confusing it all was. Watched in correct order it makes way more sense. Although the ending was totally different.

Like wise, this groundhog day thing is getting annoyingly long, I pretty much got it the second time around, there was no need for episode 4, then again it might be one of those M. Night Shyalaman clues that you can only get when you see the whole picture.

Endless Eight rules all!!! Wow...this is incredible I must say. To have the balls to show the same episode 4 times in a row. Hehe.:) Well, there were little differences between each one, but the core of the episodes was still the same...I know alot of people are in rage-mode over this right now. Doesn't bother me too much. I can't wait to see how this ends up since I haven't read the novels at all.

Next episode I'm just gonna skip till the last 3 minutes, then I'll decide whether I want to watch the entire thing or not, this getting boring really fast.

Takahashi 17-07-2009 05:45 PM

These guys must have balls of steel to be running the same show over and over again, I kind of skipped the entire episode and probably didn't miss anything, except they finally asked nagato why she never said anything about it the past 16000th time around, I don't think much has changed. If I wanted endless looping of the story I would have watched dragonballz.

cool2burn 17-07-2009 07:02 PM

yeah i have lost interest it is sad to i was looking foreward to it

ACE2001 24-07-2009 05:21 PM

Yes Yes!!! Give me more Endless Eight!! I can watch this forever!! Haha!!:D Joking aside, I know that alot of novel readers and casual fans are pissed that this is going on, which is understandable. Me on the other hand, Im just along for the ride. I know that this will eventually end, so I'm not angry about it at all. Just amazed that the creators would go to such great lengths to show the same thing over and over again. Hehe...I really wonder what is the main thrust of them doing this? Is it to feel Yuki's pain? Is it to suck us into this loop? Is it to throw a monkey wrench into this series? Who knows, but one thing is for certain, it will end soon. I guess I am a little more tolerant that others! Hehe.
