3 x 3 Eyes DVD
I just picked up the "Collectors Edition" of 3 x 3 Eyes.... As far as i'm aware its the only edition on dvd. So what makes it a "Collectors Edition".
Also any opinions on the show itself?
Personally I've liked what i've seen so far.... On to disk 2!

I have only seen the first few episodes. Maybe it's called a collectors edition because it comes with temp. tattoos? Just a thought.

Definitely one of my all time favourites
I'll have to get this on DVD one day and soon.
Unforunately anime wise it only touches the series, the manga is still going in Japan, I've been reading it for a few years now and have the recent the volumes and you start to feel it is starting to wind up to an end now, it's around 36 volumes at the moment.
There was big time gap in terms of release date between the two OVAs, a couple of years in fact, I certainly hope they animate more.

--dreams a little--
Another animation of 3 x 3 Eyes.....
* drools *
But anyways... you could kinda tell that there was a time difference from the animation itself. The second DVD had cleaner animation. I found it so odd to see yakumo open his eyes in the second dvd... it felt kinda wierd.

* POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT *
well I'm with you cloakactive
I certainly do hope / wish they would animate more, great series.
Yeah it's surprising the Yakumo opens his eyes more, in the manga he hardly opens them like the first series 3x3 Eyes OVA.
My favourite character is Benares, he is one AWESOME character, for those who haven't read the manga you would never guess what his true form is, when I first found out.. oh man the series just got 10 times better
Ie. you know Yakumo was human and that turned into a "Wu" aka an undead by Pai. You also know that Benares is Kaiyan Wang's undead but what you don't know is what Benare's true form was originally.

3x3 Eyes was screened in England (at 3AM, one days for 5 weeks), and I just knew that I had to watch it. I had as usual seen anime tapes every store I went to, and saw 3x3 Eyes in almost every one. I desperately want that DVD collection (although given the regional coding....I won't go into that again), since my episodes are scattered randomly over three tapes...
I found it a tad odd though whe they changed animation styles bettwen episodes 2 and 3, when Pai's hair colour changed...
The manga sounds to be almost as long as Dragonball, Sakuya, would you have any idea if some company (maybe Viz or Dark Horse) is going to translate them into english? I would be very interested in buying some 3x3 Eyes manga.

Do you speak Japanese? Or do you like the pretty pictures?
If you do speak Japanese, then good for you! I wish I could...
