Why didn't they use the OVA cast in the movie?
I jus got OMG on DVD then heard about the movie. But why didn't they use the original cast?

Different company new cast... Tried to get similar voices so it's not all different... You will of course notice the difference but not so much as to go "ARRRRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Something about trying to spearate themselves from animego... Like we'd ever confuse the two... We'd just be more appreciative of pioneer if they kept the orignal cast I think.

Well, overall I think Pioneer did a better casting job. For some reason though, I didn't think the new Belldandy voice fit that well.
Keichii's(arggh i'm a bad speller) voice didn't sound as annoying, but it also didn't sound as pathetic, which I think is characteristic of Keichii.

Like Gunblade said, Pioneer wanted to set themselves apart from Animego. Pioneer outbid Animego on the movie rights and hired a new voice cast. Just stick with the subs, they're much better anyways.

I was reading this thread and scratching my head, wondering what I had missed.
Then, as I came to the last post, your meaning dawned upon me and I understood what you were complaining about.
You people watched it dubbed?
But...why?

Nah... most of us just like to see both subbed and dubbed... I'm pretty much a sub person myself but if they supply an English version why not listen to it?

well, i watched the dub because its easier to concentrate on everything and get sucked into the story. btw, didn't pioneer pick a completely different cast again for mini-goddess?

They're all the same except for Urd's VA. In the movie, Urd is voiced by Melissa Williamson. In Mini-G, she is voiced by Wendee Lee.
