anime should be added to what channels?

Which channels that don't show anime regularly or none at all should add anime to their lineup?

IFC (Independent Film Channel): Grave of the Fireflies would be a great addition.

G4 (video game channel): .Hack/Sign would've been perfect for this channel. Maybe in the near future -- they had a "should G4 show anime" poll on their website.

Scifi: There was a time (it seemed ages ago) when scifi was the best source for anime on american tv. What happened?

G4 is a crappy channel...

But, on the topic of channels + anime.... whatever happened with Fox aquiring the airing rights to Slayers?

Nah.., stick it on Channel 4..., least they're not likely to edit out the swearing like BBC2 did...,

RE: whatever happened with Fox aquiring the airing rights to Slayers?

The kind of editing they were planning to do with it was ridiculous. Some problems ensued and it got put on hiatus.

Curretnly, the International Channel is showing Slayers Uncut and Subtitled (and has been for, what, a year and a half now?). It would be kind of ridiculous to show it hacked on TV now.

and even if it did go to a TV channel outside of IC (which is the only non-premium channel I know of that airs their anime completely uncut, including the nude scenes in El Hazard), the best place would be Adult Swim. Toonami would still probably have to edit all the small breast references.

Can't really remember what anime they were (they showed Akira, but that was subtitled)..., & they were all on in the early evening.., i.e., before 9.00pm...,
All the anime shown on Channel 4 was late at night (generally after midnight).., so they never had any 'watershed' problems...,
