Monster discussion.

I saw the 1st episode of this new anime recently and the premise seems really interesting. I don't exactly know what will be happening because I haven't read the manga. But I'm sure this 'doctor' thing won't be lasting long at all and we'll start to see some interesting development. I'm definitely keeping my eye on this anime as it unfolds. There really isn't much to discuss as of yet, but lets keep this thread around for the near future.

Watched the first episode and I must say that I am hooked. I think this anime is to last over a year and half (about 70 episodes). This anime sure has a cult following so far, definately for the people whom read the manga too. I haven't read the manga myself, but I know the basis on what will happen....

I just watched the first episode and the promo.
After seeing the promo I thought this was going to be some kind of Frankenstein series or something. There's nothing to make me believe otherwise, however after just one episode it's no confirmation either.

I do believe that this series will have me hooked though.

OMG There's a Monster anime??? Just shows how slow I am getting these days with information. :

I've only read about half way through the manga but I can honestly say it is a GREAT story. I've yet to read '20th Centry Boys' by the same author which is supposed to be really good too.

AARRGG I JUST LOVE IT *rolls around on the floor *

it seems kinda creepy and weird. Some of the character designs irritate me as well. I'll watch it for a few more episodes to see where it goes before passing further judgement.

I now am addicted to this series. I've seen up to episode 7 and just wow.

*SPOILERS*

I never really expected the sister would be the one who put a bullet in Johan's head.. But I guess it makes plenty of sense considering the pest is insane. This series will apparently last a long time so I'm excited to see what becomes of it later on. Definitely a keeper!

I agree Oog.

*spoiler*

I didn't expect it either, I thought Johann becaume a homocidal maniac after the shooting. This just makes the series all the more exciting. I'm anxious about episode eight and I'm tempted to look for scanlations, though I don't think I will just yet. ^_^

*end*

This is shapping up to be one of my season favorites.

Praise the birth of this Monster.

Yeah, you guys haven't seen anything yet. I've read all of the manga and I must say that each chapter was a real thriller. I just loved how Johann was able to manipulate everthing around him....I belive that what makes him a "Monster." Almost reminds me of Hannibal Lecter in an odd since. But out respect for those whom haven't read the manga, I won't comment too much on it. I highly encourage you guys to read it, if you can. After all, this series won't be over till next year, so if you want the link......

Speaking of manga, I wonder when the 1st volume will be released here?

I watched episode 8, 9, and 10 last night and I want MORE!

*SPOILERS*

I loved episode 8 or 9 was it? With the ex-soldier and the girl he took home after he killed her mother in that country. It's awesome that Kenzou is getting to use guns now. The whole jump-rope thing was cute. And when the soldier kept dropping the food with the chopsticks... @#$%! Definitely my favorite episode thus far. I'm getting really attached to the characters and I hope that isn't the last we see of them. I know I'm gonna love this series. I'd have to say I like it more than even Excel Saga now. *gasps* Can't believe I just said that.

Bump bump.

Soldats has released 38 episodes, I'm loving this show. I stopped watching it for about fifteen episodes and I'm catching up. This is the best show I've seen in a long time, hence me bumping the thread. So go out and dl it people! Then come here and talk about it! It's worth every wasted second.

I think the character designs are very purposeful. You get your creepy ugly people, people who could make a person grovel just by smiling at them, and people who are just plain confused-looking. You can sort of tell who is up to what by analyzing their looks.

We've watched up to episode six here and all think it freaking rocks. (I watch it with a group of friends rather than alone because I know they'll want to watch it when we get together.) I've managed to download up to 38 but we've not had a chance to sit down and watch it all. I also downloaded the manga, which I hear will be licensed soon or something to that effect.

I've had the manga on my HD for months, haven't read it yet. I don't want to. I'll read it after the series' finished.
