The Place Promised in Our Early Days

It's kind of hard to describe this movie. It is a good love story set in an alternate universe. There is a mysterious tower. There are two good friends who try to build an airplane. A girl falls into a coma. There are experiments to make contact with the alternate universes. War breaks out. And we could be seeing the end of the world.

All this gets tied together in the movie. It does make sense -- trust me on that. The pace may be a bit methodical for some, but it is a good story. The artwork is excellent as well.

I recommend this anime. Has anyone else seen it?

This is one of my favorite movies. It is excellent. Matoko Shinkai has produced some of the best animation that I have ever seen.

If you liked that, then you should definately look into his other works, especially 5 Centimeters per Second.
