Hayao Miyazaki's Traumatic Experience in WW2!!! Pictures of the Young Miyazaki!!!!

Fricking 'ell, I really have to hard-sell these bloody threads.

This is a spin-off from the other thread http://www.animeboards.com/showthread.php?t=61119

The video below tells of Miyazaki's experience in a WWII air-raid, among other details about his childhood. He also gives an interview about how childhood shouldn't be like adulthood and how events in childhood can have effects that propagate into adulthood. In which case, the documentary seems to be saying that Miyazaki's childhood experience in WWII has had a big impact on him. Interesting.

Anyone else with thoughts?

Wow, what a way to advance to conversation. Just stunning - you've raised so many interesting points that I don't know how to respond. You've really gone overboard with the critical thinking here. Let's see, how can I even begin to write a reply that would do your post justice? How about:

"Errrr ...... where is my fork?"

F-ucking stupid.
