Yeah, it has become an everyday part of my computing. I even upgrade computer components in my computers every now and then, when better parts are released to help boost unit processing speeds.

I just recently upgraded one of my computers with a base model ASUS P5Q motherboard and a Xeon Quad-core 2.66GHz cpu. That has sped up unit processing a bit for me.

I think we can all agree on that being good news.

Nice just be careful that model based on P45 chipset alot of manufacturers are setting very high AUTO and lowest voltage option in bios to auto increase voltage to processor killing like voltages

i.e.

P5Q Deluxe

NB volt here
VFSB >1.45v can kill 45nm here

If you're handy with digital multimeter you can measure real volts on the board itself
  • memory volts here
  • northbridge here
  • vFSB/CPU VTT and CPU PLL here

so for lowest vMCH northbridge volts use 1.12v instead of AUTO or 1.1v and for vFSB/CPU VTT volts set 1.22v instead of AUTO or 1.2v
