Project Akira's thread where he dumps his art on AB

Uh so since not many people are posting in this forum anymore outside of like Sunset, I thought I would dump some stuff here that I've been working on while I've been at school. For the record, my degree that I'm going for is indeed comics. Also yes, I am aware that I am kind of lousy. It's why I'm going to school.

Here's the first project I did for my Materials and Techniques class where we just had to come up with page using inks that had to be composed using three elements from three lists, so I picked motorcycle, couple fighting, and marketplace in Tokyo. I'm not happy with how the bike turned out and I got really weird inking with a brush (which admittedly it's the first time I've done that) and I also experimented alot doing things I wasn't too familiar with doing like drybrush texturing. Also some of my figures are kind of stiff but that's something I'm constantly working on improving. So here's the piece and please be kind.

Thanks!

Here are some pages that other people have penciled that I've been inking in an effort to build an Inking Portfolio.

Ryan Sook drawn page from an Ultimates Annual

Random page by penciler Clement Suave

Some more inks that I've done over other people's pencils

Here's some inks done over Rufus Dayglo art

Here's ink over a Erik Larsen Defenders page that I had to ink because M.O.D.O.K. was on it.

Thank you, getting those tiny details with a brush is hard. I've sinced switched over to a nib.

Haha ... gotta love MODOK, I've always had this odd fascination for the character - who had/has the potential to be a contender in the realm of heavyweight baddies, but, it is well ... beaten often and almost always made to look silly.

... and of course, there is now MODAM, the names are killing me

Something I'm working on at the moment. This it only part of the drawing as I did it on 18x24 size paper.

This is part of my Senior Project that I've been working on at school. It's 8 pages from a sci-fi comic I will continue to work on in the immediate future.
