Which girl should get Tenchi? A solution!

My friend and I love Tenchi Muyo (OVA) and have long wondered over the prickly problem of which of the girls - Ayaka and Ryoko would be best matched with Tenchi and which one deserves him. It's a really difficult problem with neither of them being just right, but both of them having excellent reasons in their favour. The other day, a solution came to me in a flash!

Neither of them!

Let me explain my thinking. [possible spoilers]

Given that there are three goddesses - Washu, Tsunami and Tokimi. Each of these goddesses has an 'avatar'. Washu has Ryoko, Tsunami has Tenchi and Tokimi has "Z" the as yet unnamed avatar from the 3rd OVA series (mentioned in interviews with the creator, and seen in shilouette at the end of "Zero Ryoko"). We also know that Yosho has not aged visibly, and his old man appearance is just a disguise.

What if:
- Yosho revealed his true self to Ayaka? I'm sure Ayaka would quickly fall back in love with him, and even though she would still have feelings for Tenshi, as she herself said in the third ep, she felt destined for Yosho.

- Tokimi's avatar turned out to be a drop-dead-gorgeous, adventurous, strong and arrogant man? He would be a man after Ryoko's heart without a doubt! Tenchi really is too weak and too straigh to be a good match for Ryoko. Would she really find him as interesting after another 700 years? Another avatar of a goddess like herself would surely be happier with someone more on her level.

- Sasami grew up knowing Tenchi for much of her life, and did indeed become the image of Tsunami. Tsunami is serene, intellectual, deliberate, patient and caring. All of these qualities describe Tenchi, and thinking of them together like this seems like a natural conclusion.


I think this would be a perfect resolution for all three. Each would be happy with their partner, there would be no fighting over who deserves Tenchi better, and if they were all to combine their forces as one, the six of them would be absolutely unstopable! A new era of peace and harmony would begin throughout the universe!!! Okok, well maybe not hehe


What do you all think? Am I way off the mark, or could this work?

I am a HUGE believer that this is a possibility. Am I the only one that finds Aeka attitude in Tenchi Muyo as highly questionable of her character. I mean think about it.

Setting:

Aeka has been searching the galaxy for her long lost half-brother Yosho so she can finally marry her childhood love. She crash lands on Earth and is all over Tenchi by the end of the first OVA.

Does it bother anyone as much as me that she searched for her brother for OVER 700 HUNDRED YEARS, yet in the space of a week or two forgot all about him and pledged herself to Tenchi? Says something about her character **at least OVA wise, in Universe she's a nag ** If Yosho revealed himself and Tenchi chooses a different girl, she'll forget about Tenchi about as fast as she found him IMHO.

Now this one I disagree with, and not just because I would like to see Ryoko win **or Sasami, I like them both ** Ryoko's attraction to Tenchi from the beginning isn't based on physical attraction. If that was the only thing, then Ryoko wouldn't be so attached to Tenchi. IMO, Ryoko is only one of 2 of the girls that honestly seems to REALLY care about Tenchi **Sasami being the other one**

I do agree with this one. I think either Ryoko or Sasami/Tsunami would be a good match for Tenchi. Sasami for what you stated already, Ryoko because she is Tenchi's opposite. The two complete everything missing from the other. Personally, I would like to see Ryoko be the one, but if it's Sasami, I'd be fine with that.

Hey rember Yosho suggested that Tenchi and Ayeka get married! Remember that he got Tenchi to open Ryoko's cave so the energy would attract Ayeka. Possibly to get her off that rocker she's been on for him the last 700 years. Maybe even to pair her up with Tenchi. Besides, the fun of TM! is the fact that he isn't hot for any of them!

Where in the OVA was it stated by Yosho that he let Tenchi release Ryoko to attract Aeka??? The only time I ever remember gaining any insight into Yosho's actions was in the manga **was one of the last ones, don't remember the number** where he says he LET Tenchi free Ryoko from the cave because he sensed her nature change from a murderous pirate to someone that could love. The manga is the only part in the OVA universe that he seems to open up.

Okay i agree with what was said about Ayeka. I mean come on she has been totaly in love with Yosho for over 700 years then all of a sudden she is in love with tenchi come on!!!!

But personaly i think Ryoko is most suited for Tenchi. and i'll explain why.

First off Ryoko has been watching tenchi since he was a kid ( kinda weird i know but whatcha gonna do if your just a spirit) . Anyway she has always cared about him.

secondly. Ryoko is hot headed full of passion and anger and i think that it is good that she is. Tenchi needs someone who can bring out the best in him, his darkside his good side which she dose. But also it would be good for Ryoko it may calm her down a bit.

Ryoko would do anything for tenchi. In Tenchi forever i think it was. Ayeka even let ryoko go and save tenchi instead of herself. And at the end of the movie. Ayeka asked where tenchi was and they told her. but u know that she knew that Ryoko was with him.
So there are my reasons for saying Ryoko
Plus shes the most awsome character

I think in episode 13. Here Comes Jurai! He tells Funaho (his mom) that he let Tenchi open the cave to attract Ayeka. Speaking of which I'm gonna go watch that episode.

I have proof that Yosho endorses Ayeka as Tenchi's "special-friend". In the Tenchi Encyclopedia (included in the OVA 3 pack) there is a special files section with a FAQ section. Under Katsuhito it asks why Yosho gave Tenchi the keys. It reads that he wanted Ryoko released so Ayeka would come to earth and he could set Tenchi up with her and he would become king of Jurai! Hahahahahahahahahahahahah! :

I think Sasami should she hangs around Tenchi Not knowing WHAT she is doing...And yet Ryoko and Ayeka Get So Ticked otherwise...So, I think Nor Ayeka Nor Ryoko...

I don't wanna Say that You are wrong when I say That Yosho will not mary Ayeka. I Remember reading somewhere about one of the three official mangas that Yosho left Jurai becouse he did not want to marry Ayeka. (This was one of the reasons he left) And That loved Ayeka LIKE A SISTER, His Heart belonged to someone else ( Don't make wrong comments saying that I am not correct and that this was from Tenchi TV , cuz it's not.) I have her name somewhere and it sounds nothing like any other Tenchi Name. Any way he never fulfilled that love, So he got married to somebody else on earth when hr got there. She Dies and he Re-marries. I think it was the Second marriage when Kiyone was born. (Kiyone Is Tenchi's Mom!! That is Why GP First class Kiyone Will Never make it to The OAV) Any way there is a line where he says that He can not marry Ayeka.

Tenchi doesn't need anyone, he's a strong man he can handle himself! ...Anyway he's doing a pretty darn good job as a bachelor... and if he ever feels lonely he always has an army of girls at his feet to chose from! He would be rated in the top 20 eligable bachelors for sure! lol

Now for the Ryoko and Z thing. ( Iknow it's long but it is very good if you are a Ryoko Fan.Very few people know this and it surprises me how few people know this)(Mainly it's a language thing, Don't ask How I know I just know this stuff)
"Ryoko Will Never Leave tenchi" I want you to quote me on that.
When Ryoko was under Kagato's controll She First Disliked what she was doing. She was like a clean slate, No Feelings No emotions. She instinctively felt that was she was being forced to do was wrong. She tried to Stop it but Kagato was just to powerfull at the time for her to do anytging. He used the three gems she had to give her immense pain that is unlike any pain ever felt by anyone, but because of the way Washu made her she could take the pain and it did not have the full effect on her. After many years of this Ryoko Developed a new emotion. She developed this emotion because as she aged she was becoming complete, piece by piece. She Developed an emotion called.........*crikets chirping*..........Ok I forgot wat it is called. It's when you enjoy power. At that time she felt empty and saw other space pirates get drunk to forget about their problems. At this time she developed a new emotion, it was called.........Oh yeah I know this one.....umm..Pity. She felt sorry for the people she caused suffering to. This is why she Felt empty. Anyway She tried alcoholic veberages, to her surprise they did not have an effect.Like any drug she does not feel the effects, again cause she was made like a warrior.For example the lack of an abbility to taste food. She had to consume large amounts of this in order for it to have any effect, and she literaluy had to make it happen even thought she could not fully get 100% drunk it helped her.


Now I don't know how to say this but if you are my age(Even two years older) or younger you should not Read this. Ryoko Then Turned to sex as a way to fill her emptyness inside(Don't think I was tring to make a corny sex joke, It's just that some people.) Any way She did not receive any pleasure from this. At the same time while She started to feel sorry for the people, she became more infamous. Again she developed a new emotion. She liked the fact thatpeople feared her for a little while,Then she discovered that as she became more infamus in the universe it got extremely hard to find someone that would actualy have sex with her. So She di what she had left as an option. That's right She turned to masturbation ( don't even want to know if I spelled it right or not, I just want my message to get across) She tried and tried with no success. No matter how she tried or how long she tried she could not achieve an orgasm. She has had literaly in the hundreds of sex partners and never felt any pleassure. Feeling bad she was taken over rather easily under Kagato's control even though her strenght had grown massively. Then around that time in Ryoko's Life Kagato made her attack Jurai.On a side note. Ryoko witnessed Sasami Die. She saw how Tsunamy Assimilated with her. While this was happening Ryoko Fell into a trance and Tsunami Told her that They Would meet again someday.When Tsunami had completely assimilated with Sasami and was weakened Ryoko's Three Gems Told her that Tsunami Unit was capturable or something like that. No BuLl $HiTn.
The Gems can communicate with her but onli do so in like three or two occasions . Not bad info For someone that is 15yrs old and knows no Japanese huh. Right when She was about to capture Tsunami Unit, Yosho Arrived and for some reason ( I forget why ) She teleports out of there. and fights with Yosho who takes her gems. ( My Favorite one is the one in her neck) and you know the Rest. She then Develops a new emotion while watching Tenchi. Gee I wonder what That Emotion Is. Anyway she now thinks that She will Feel pleasure sine she has matured and She loves Tenchi. So She is always Trying To get tenchi in to bed to Test out her theory. wich is , She will Feel peasure from Having sex with tenchi because she never loved anyone and therefore never slept with someone she truly loved and cared about. I could say more but I am Tired of Wring and you are tired of Reading. If you have any questions on Ryoko ar want to stump me just sak away. Please no Ayeka questions I know less about her than Ryoko and miht be easily stumped by a hard core Ayeka Fan.

So please ask some questions mainly OAV questins so that in case I don't know something I can find out trough some friends. By the way how long is the introduction going to be up? Mine is Wuzz Up!
