or
Evil. Instant. Cut.

Ok, while I was at school today, i just saw this really beautiful girl holding a really cool fan(?) anyway on that thing (what do u call those things? A4 size and laminated - she was using it to fan herself) was a pic. of Saitoh and had the words

Aku. Soku. Zan.
Evil. Instant. Cut.

printed on it. later on after i finished drooling over her (hentai! ) i realized i didnt know anything about Saitoh's philosophy. so who can give me an elaboration/explanation about how it works?

I wish I could tell you, but I've read so many different translations for "Aku, Soku, Zan" and I don't know which one is correct! Maybe we can get some japanese expert from the boards to tell us.

Personally I've always liked Hecto/Shinsengumi's translation of it:
"Sin. Swift. Slay."
One of the bits of translation they actually did a good job on

And btw, those A4 sheets are called pencilboards.

"Sin. Swift. Slay."

but is that all to it? how should one interpret it? is it subjective or is there a given philosophy which makes these things work together . i can guess, but i would like to know if this thing is further explained in the manga or any other source?
