Well, your in luck! Sakura Taisen has a TV series, which has just been liscensed in the US by... ADV(?). Previously, all we had was the OVA, which clearly was not enough. Although I have heard that the TV series isn't all that great, but oh well.

I havent seen the series but have seen the OAVs.
And whos this for taking it to far... I collect a game call mage knight which has there steam golums in it. Bettween 2 of uss we're painting up the 3 pansys...

Well, i heard the opposite^^;, that the TV serie was GREAT and that the OVA was ------... We'll have to see i guess... (i ALMOST got it some time ago, but now that its been licensed...)

The OAV is great animation wise and all that, ti just kinda confused me because there seems to be a lot of missing time between the forst and second tapes. I'll definitely want to watch the TV series thought, because I did like the OAV's a lot.

after watching the OAVs, all I could think about where steam-powered mecha, resulting in my Glitch Wars stories.
the OAVs have great animation quality, but there IS that plot gap, and the antagonsists only show up once... but when they do, it's cool. Gotta love the Three Lords of Death with their scottish accents...
apparantly there is also a movie under production in japan. But when the TV series comes out here is Australia, I'll definatly have to get it.

ive seen the first tape of the ova, still need to get around to seeing the second. i saw an episode of the tv series, but it was raw. so yeah i dont know if i like it.

I heard that the TV series wasn't so great from my friend Mika who just moved here in Japan. According to Anime News Network, there is a new movie planned to be released in conjunction with a Slayers and Di Gi Charat short.
