You thought you would never see it happen, but the ENTIRE Toonami block is now Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. For these next few days at least, DB will air twice a day at 5:00 and 5:30, while DBZ will hold the 6:00 and 6:30 slots. It appears that MSG was doing quite poorly in the ratings, so much so that they had to cancel it before the season ended. It's also possible that they chose to remove the series because it has a war theme. This info comes courtesy of SZR.

its truly sad...i was looking forward on seeing on how thing will end up with char and amuro and lahlah and sayla etc. i think sundam just doesnt appeal to new viewers, its really old, i was talking to a friend of mine thats a gundam wing fan (but not an anime fan) and i asked him if he watched gundam and he said, "i dont like it, character designs are different", guess he's doesnt know old-school anime. well, guess ill wait until they release the dvd's.

oh no! Our fears have come true. I was really hoping to see the rest of MSG. Looks like Toonami is going downhill. Although, I do enjoy watching the new episodes of DBZ and re-watching DB. Oh well....maybe they'll put it back...else I'll just get the DVDs when the come out.

Dammit CN, just when I thought you'd redeemed yourself by airing Cowboy Bebop. This is an unforgivable sin, and I swear by all that is holy that they WILL air the rest of it, otherwise I will personally hang the CN CEO's with their intestines.

it's not cn's fault, and toonami's not going downhill either. the ratings were just too low (the ratings last year were like 2.4, this year it was .9) they had to cancel it. another reason is gundam is war-themed, of all the things happening and all. in all reality, no one was watching mobile suit gundam except the otakus round here which is not a whole lot.

They better put back something other than DB/Z. Just get something else on!!!! Re-runs of anything I don't care!!!

Cartoon Network will probably lose a good audience if all they show is DBZ. How can they call themselves the channel with the most anime if that's all they show? Removing MSG was understandable because it is war-themed, but there are other animes they can show.

Your ratings figures are wrong. MSG is 47% down from DBZ, meaning if DBZ was 2.4, MSG would be around 1.3

And the show was not deserving of being removed, no matter what the content. Censorship has never solved a thing, it only destroys soceity. Any censoring is pointless since the networks replay the plane crash every 5 minutes.

I think it is pretty stupid that they removed it because of what happened on tuesday. I mean it's okay to show the actual event every other mnute all day, all week but it's bad to show a show about a war. Maybe if they actually took a peek at the content on the fact that it's very anti-war, we'd still be watching MSG right now. But knowing our nation's intelligence, "Holy crap I just saw a fake war on TV, let's go kick Afghanastans ass!"

On the subject of the ratings (which really matters), it almost seems like the toonami ship is sinking. All we have now is some poorly dubbed/edited DB/Z and edited Outlaw Star at 12:30. Unless CN can get some more stuff fast, Toonami is outta here. Turner can only hope Lockdown will pull in some ratings (which it might).

I can't believe they cancelled it. They better put it back on. Even if they have to show it 2:30 in the morning. I can set my vcr. I've been doing that everyday for it anyway. Its gotta pull in more ratings than Popeye or whatever the hell they show in the middle of the night.
