And loved it. Actually I saw bits and parts but I liked what I saw. It is probably the most stylish and stylistically diverse anime that I have ever seen. It's also a fricking riot!!! I think of it as Tezuka on crack doing Looney Tunes. I have a few questions that I hope you guys can answer however

What is the main character's name?
Is the show only 6 episodes long?
Actually can I get the names of all the kids in the show?
Do any soundtracks exist because I love the punk rock that is the music for the show
And finally what is the deal with the robot guy who has a tv for his head?
Please answer those questions as if I hasd seen the show up till episode three cause that's how much I've seen of the show.
Oh since I liked what I saw, I bought the FLCL Groundworks book and it is awesome!!! While I can't read it, just looking at the obvious planning that went into the series is great! I hope to see more soon and thanks to all who got me slightly interested in this awesome series!

If by high art you mean it's fun to smoke pot and look at Mike Mignola's art, I'm in total agreement.

Says Project Akira:

What is the main character's name?
Nandaba Naota
Is the show only 6 episodes long?
Yes.
Actually can I get the names of all the kids in the show?
Samejima Mamimi is the girl who smokes. Ninamori Eri is the girl in the USSR shirt. Manabe Gaku is the "CHUUUUUU" boy. Masamune Masashi is the other classmate. Kitsurubami is the cutie that works for Amaro. And of course, Haruhara Haruko, the crazy girl.
Do any soundtracks exist because I love the punk rock that is the music for the show
There are two that I know of. The first one seems to be considered the better of the two.
And finally what is the deal with the robot guy who has a tv for his head?
Canti? I'll let someone else talk about him.
