WEEEEE!!!! South Bend is the main FedEx terminal, only 15min from my house

Here is whats going on right now. Both my mother and father are looking for new PCs. I have the unfortunant tag of being "Tech Guy" and got the job of building my Father a Gaming system, and my Brother a decent system as well...both were only willing to spend $300 US.

I currently have:

1.2 Athlon w/Abit MB
512mb PC133 ram
30gb WD HD

All of that and 128mb of ram is going to my Father for his system...thus the Soltek board 1800+ CPU, DDR chip, Burner and 40gb HD are for me (I dont charge anything above cost for building these...this is how I secretly make it worth my while to do this, by upgrading my own system in the process)

The Duron chip, Shuttle board, and 256mb of ram left from my old system are going to my little bro for his system.

When all is said and done here is what I end up with:

Little bro:

1gig Duron w/Shuttle MB
256mb PC133 ram
Geforce 2 MX400 (spare I have from prior upgrades)
8 and 5gb Hard Drives both 7200, so not bad at all (also spare)

Father:

1.2 Athlon (tbird) w/Abit KT7-A MB
512mb PC133 ram
GeForce 2 Ultra (damn bastage got a deal, sold to him for $80, after I got my G3)
30gb WD HD

ME!:

AMD 1800+ (1.53ghz)
SOLTEK 75DRV4 "Purple Ray" w/RedStorm Overclocking
GeForce 3
512mb PC2100 DDR ram
40gb 7200rpm Maxtor X2
Cyberdrive CDR/W 32x12x48

I really think I should start saving up, and start my own business...I really love doing this stuff.

PS, hands down that SOLTEK board is the best DDR AMD duron/athlon on the market for under $100.

You sold your father a card? I would have thought to just give it to him, afterall, he did pay for most/some of those parts afterall, no?

Geforce 2 Ultra...hardly a few months old, top of the line...your damn right I sold it to him.

You obviously do not build computers on a routine basis...if I were to swallow the cost on every "favor" I did for friends or family, I'd have to take out a small loan.

(I build his current 500mhz system for a little bit of nothing...the system he will end up with, he has put barely over $400 into, compare for yourself what the system is worth.)

The little price or upgrade I do charge pales in comparison to the time I put into helping friends and family, and the actual cost of parts retail...let alone the cost of Consumer end PCs such as Dell, HP, or Compaq.

Trust me..I tell people to go out and compare costs, I give them info sheets, they still end up asking me to help them.
