Thread Summaries
Alright well i typed this one up a while ago for Gemlore and the first half of Tora-Mon... I need you guys to tell me if it is too detailed and long or what (i think it probably is)
Based on your opinions i can probably type up some new summaries for whats been happening recently.
Gemlore/Rodan area and Tora Mon area (part 1)
Starting characters:
Khalis Azulan
Sturm Atlovar
Fenix Solarian
Tomei Kamakura
Marii Thornin
Gordon Hawking
Shasta Solitair
A group of mercenaries, stray knights, theifs and many others come together in Balten, looking for a ship that will take them to the floating Merchant city of Gemlore. All are interested in a job that was proposed to anyone willing to accept by Gemlores leader Boulou Hawkwing. A very high pay is to be included if the job is completed, but no more details about the nature of the assignment are divulged.
Our group of characters all meet at Gemlore where they are told of 'mages'. Apparently Boulou (Gemlores leader) wants to find a mage creature (which none of the parties members have heard of before) and have it captured for one reason or another. Our characters head out for the city Tora-Mon (on high speed crafts called 'skiffs') where a mage is suspected to be located. They are to rendevous with a Gemlore agent who will give them further instructions once they reach the city.
Tora-Mon is a large city with a sturdy wall surrounding its perimeter. Many rich noblemen live near the back of the city in enormous mansions which are somewhat isolated from the rest of the city. Once the party enters they split up to search for anyone who could possibly be a mage, and also to find the Gemlore contact. Marii happens to see several carriages entering the city which look suspiscious and she jumps in the back of one to investigate further. The carriage heads to the back of Tora-Mon and into one of the mansions where Marii realizes that the vessel is full of freshly made weapons. She is mistaken for a Tora-Mon soldier and a man named Fandar tells her to assist him in bringing the weapons into the mansion. Unseen, Fenix follows the carriage, Marii and Fandar inside.
Meanwhile the rest of the group meets up with a man named Kessler in a local tavern who claims to be the Gemlore contact. He tells them that the mage is being held in the noble mansions, and that there is a long underground tunnelway that can lead them there. Everyone decides to follow him, and through a back room in the tavern they drop down into the musty and vast underground tunnel system. After an almost fatal encounter with a Manticore beast, the group reaches the mansion.
Back with Marii, Fandar reveals to her that *he* is the Gemlore contact, and informs her that the mage is being held in the throne room of the mansion. They investigate and after meeting up with Fenix (who had been trailing them) discover that the mage is indeed present. But it is a shock to see her sitting beside Yudvid Scolas (the head General of the Ambros army, Bewoulf Ambros' right hand man) and engagind in some kind of negotiations. Fandar, Marii, and Fenix decide to slip into the throne room (where some kind of formal party is going on with noblemen and their wives) to get closer to their objective by stealing a womans gown, and two soldiers plates of armour. While Fandar is dragging the soldiers bodies (who they stole the armour from) away he meets with the second group led by Kessler. Both groups merge and begin to form a strategy to try and capture the mage.
After entering the throne room, Marii attacks Yudvid in order to get him away from Kira (the mage) while Khalis approaches the throne. The sight of the mage brings back distant memories for Khalis, and as he advances on her he is attacked by Kessler (he is protecting Kira) who reveals himself as a 'traitor' and not the real Gemlore contact. Yudvid breaks free from Mariis hold and wounds her while a brawl between our group and Tora Mons soldiers erupts.
Outside the mansion Ambros ships approach from the south. Omas, Yuki, and Zyara are on this ship as stowaways... (NOTE: This is where the Angad and Kalten thread moves into Tora-Mon. See Angad and Kalten summaries for further background information on Omas, Yuki, and Zyara.) The Ambros ships commence attack on Tora-Mon under the orders of Advar Scolas (Yudvid Scolas' -the Ambros Generals- son). It appears that Yudvid was trying to reach some peace agreement with Kira (the mage) but Advar grew impatient, and attacked Tora-Mon in order to capture Kira without any delay. The Ambros empire is revealed to be looking for the mage as well as Boulou and Gemlore.
As the throne room battle heightens, Ambros soldiers burst through creating complete chaos. Our group just barely manages to escape through the tunnel system, and they surface on a war torn city. After a short battle ends outside, Ambros forces move into the mansions and sets baracades around its perimeter prohibiting access, yet they cease attack on the city. It is suspected that because of Yudvid (who was not aware of Advars plan to attack) the complete destruction of Tora-Mon was prevented. Outside Omas meets with the leader of the Tora-Mon forces, a man named Radigast, and learns of the group sent from Gemlore and of Kira, the mage. He asks Zyara to investigate the groups intentions, and soon the female knight meets with the weary group sent from Gemlore.
Fandar (the true Gemlore contact) tells them that if Boulou finds out about their failure in Tora-Mon he will have them killed (they didnt know what they were getting into). Fortunately word could only reach Gemlore through a city called Balten because it is the only city with a major port and Gemlorian agents on location. Apparently Fandar was positioned in Balten before coming to Tora-Mon. It is decided that half the group will try and escape Tora-Mon on the skiffs (which are being held by Ambros guards) to reach Balten quickly, while the other half of the group heads towards Balten on foot acting as backup in case the skiff plan fails.
Zyara accompanies the skiff team, and as they try and break free they are faced with a massive machine that looks like extremely new technology. The weapon fires a large green beam taking out one of the skiffs and sends Shasta, Khalis and Coza (Khalis' chocobo) tumbling down the side of a cliff. The rest of the group (which consists of Marii, Zyara, Fandar, Sturm, and Gordan) narrowly escapes when the skiff is transported into a flying machine/hanglider. They head off towards Balten in hopes of intercepting the message to Boulou explaining their failure.
End of Tora-Mon summary part 1... for more information on the events circling Shasta and Khalis see part 2.

Balten Summary (incomplete, and from my own memory heh)
After several days of travelling, half of the Tora-Mon group (consisting of Marii, Fandar, Zyara, Sturm, and Gordan) arrives in Balten. Their goal is to intercept a messenger that is carrying word of their failure to capture a mage. His intent is to relay it to Boulou.
Before they enter the city Marii and Zyara begin to bicker, and Fandar seperates the group, telling everyone to meet later at an Inn called the 'Iron Skillet'.
Meanwhile Omas and Yuki enter Balten.
It turns out that on the road from Tora-Mon they came across a group of Gemlorian soldiers. This group happened to be carrying the 'important message' for Boulou, thus when the duo arrives, they are in possesion of a small scroll that contains word of the Tora-Mon partys failure. Soon, a young man named Sora comes into contact with Omas and Yuki. Sora is the relaying man who is also working for Gemlore, and he requests that the scroll be handed over to him... Omas obliges.
Around the same time that Omas and Yuki are entering the city, a small group of Sonne soldiers arrive in Balten, being led by two officers: Rain Valmont and Aaron Danceny. Shortly after, the city is put under martial law, and soldiers are widely deployed. Fenix and Tomei slip into Balten unnoticed just in time. It is suspected that there is another mage present in Balten.
Eventually Marii, Fandar, and Sturm settle down in the Iron Skillet unaware of the military presence, and they are later accompanied by Zyara and Sturm. It is at this time that Marii and Fandar meet a young woman dressed in rags and going by the name of Abio-o. Seeing her condition, Marii offers her a meal, and she enters the Inn with them.
Sora also booked a room in the Iron Skillet the night before, and he soon settles down to take a look at the message that is to be sent to Gemlore. Yet upon reading the scroll that Omas gave him, he finds that it is not the original message, but rather a personal note from the Omas telling Sora not to trust Boulou and Gemlore.
Meanwhile, Omas and Yuki are reuinited with Zyara, while Fandar grabs some breakfast for Marii and Abi-o (Abiona). The newcomer seems slightly odd, and after Fandar offers her a package of food for the road, she abruptly becomes weak and passes out on the spot. Fandar and Marii take Abiona upstairs to one of the beds to check on her condition. Seeing the three move upstairs, Sora follows.
As they put Abiona on the bed, her rags fall from her body revealing her true nature. Her clothes seem very strange, the kind not seen on Kinzoku, and as she wakes Marii accuses her of being a mage. After this comment chaos breaks out as everyone starts talking at once. In the confusion Abiona seems to lose herself, and in a sudden burst of unconciousness she releases a large burst of her power, blowing up the top floor of the Iron Skillet. All the occupants are sent tumbling down, and the explosion draws a large crowd with and many soldiers.
While this is happening, several carriages approach the outskirts of town. They are of Ambros origin. A young woman named Kalila Perd is sent out to investigate the mages wereabouts.
Back at the inns wreckage, Omas notices the massing amount of Sonne soldiers, and he quickly pulls Abiona out of the rubble. The two head for the dock area in an attempt to lay low, where Yuki later meets with them.

Tora-Mon Summary...PART TWO - THE REVENGE!!!
In the last episode of Tora-Mon summary, we find our heroes confronted by the threat of an evil floating mechanical weapon. What is this mysterious machine, and what is its intent? While its origins are an enigma, it's intent is clear: THE DEATH OF OUR HEROES.
The evil machine reveals its awesome power in the form of a bolt which annihilates the cliffside where Khalis, Shasta, and Coza stand. The remaining party, fighting for their lives on the skiff must make a difficult decision and leave their missing companions for dead. Narrowly, they manage to escape with their lives...but what of the three heroes that stayed behind? What dangers await them behind enemy lines? This and more will be revealed...in TORA-MON SUMMARY, PART TWO...THE REVENGE!!!!
*cheesy opening sequence with a lot of pointless explosions*
Shasta recovers first from the explosion and sets out to find Khalis. Instead, she comes across his trusty chocobo Coza, but it isn't long before they find the knight. But all is not right, he is suffering from a head wound inflicted by the explosion! And...his memory is gone... *dun dun dun*
Believing himself to be a mere wanderer named Lyris, Khalis can not be convinced otherwise and Shasta is forced to play along. But the plucky thief manages to convince 'Lyris' to travel with her to Balten where they can rendezvous with the rest of the party, and so the two heroes set out on Coza to Balten...where their fate awaits them.
Along the way, they come across a small homey farm, where Widow Mendelson resides, a kindly old woman who apparantly recognized Khalis. She welcomes them into her home and feeds them, as well as introducing them to another guest, a traveling warrior simply named Golmery.
Golmery proposes a deal to the young heroes, telling them of a mysterious hidden treasure. He reveals a map, that will lead them to the riches, and neither Lyris nor Shasta can resist the lure of treasure...and ADVENTURE!!!
It isn't long before a fresh face joins the group...Golmery's partner Scarab Aramaya, a brash young thief with a strong love of the fairer sex. Immediately, he is attracted to Shasta's feminine charms...but what is this? Lyris isn't about to let Shasta be taken out from under his nose! A friendly rivalry ensues...with both men competing for Shasta's attention! Or failing that, a grope! Shasta must now fend off the advances of the two men, with force if needs be! But with their party numbering four now, the group heads off in search of the lost treasure...
Meanwhile, a pair of shady characters plot against our heroes...they want the map...they want REVENGE.
Cielmer and Toranpetto, two warriors who will stop at nothing to recover their stolen map from their foes, Golmery and Scarab! When the party stumbles across their camp by chance, Lyris and Shasta find themselves caught amidst a battle against the villainous knights! During the chaos as out heroes fight heroically, Golmery, locked in mortal combat with Cielmer, vanishes down a slope and finds the treasure cave! Khalis, Scarab, and Shasta follow soon after on Coza, with Cielmer and Toran hot on their heels!
Their rivalry is abruptly interrupted...by the guardian demon of the cave, GENDEM!!! The hulking monstrosity takes on all six warriors, and a furious battle engages! During the fray, it is revealed that Cielmer...HAS WINGS?! What can this development mean?! Well...I'm not sure. But in any case, the heroes win narrowly, though Toran is badly injured, and Scarab realizes that he has lost a finger in the battle. And Gendem, though mortally wounded, drags his hideous form back into his cave...to die? Or to ambush our heroes? None can tell...but tune in to the next and final episode of Tora-Mon Summary to find out!!
*roll end credits*

Excellent job FB, but it needs an illustration to clarify things. After going through the first art thread, I think this one, by our own talented Fairybane, is my favorite:
Toramon
That's Khalis with the spear, Shasta with the long hair, Cielmer with the wings, and I have no idea who sword man and the flying munchin are.
