The Japanese Animators of America (sort of)
This is kind of interesting.
I was flipping through channels tonight and saw the credits rolling for one of the recent 90's Scooby Doo Animated Movies shown on Cartoon Network. It was released by Hanna Barbara and Warner Bros, but the interesting thing was that when the Credits got to all of the artwork/graphics/designs/etc...all of the names were Asian, many of them Japanese.
And I'm not talking 5 or 6, I'm not even talking 10. I'm talking 80 or so people making up the entire visual crew of the film.
I wonder if American Studios are trying to capture some of the cult success Anime has had by having more Japanese Artists merge their styles into American Animation. Its not the first time its happened actually. Watch the end credits of ThunderCats, most of the names in the Animation department are Japanese.

I'm trying to change my style as more of an anime-ish one and possibly doing a web comic, but I think I'll be admiring the masters of Japan for quite some time.

The asian people listed were the animation staff. Almost all American cartoons are animated overseas, as it's cheaper.

Production is done by those who have the skill... Asian Animators are far superior to any other (in my opinion) so it shouldn't be to surprising that they're in high demand.
I wish I was Asian, maybe then I could draw better... I wish I was black, maybe then I could play basketball better... I wish I was albino, maybe then I'd glow in the dark...

He's got a good point there, but, I don't see how that would make us less talented. O well, that's just me.

It was a line from a movie. I think it had Dudley Moore in it. Some advertising guy goes crazy and get committed, and well to make a long story short, the crazy people start making commercials. I took my quote from the comercial for Japanese electronics (I think it was Sony), and the Japanese guy is talking about how they make better electronics because they are shorter then caucasians, thus closer to the tables. The catch phrase is something like: "Sony electronics. Because caucasians are just to damn tall!"
