I see it too!!! Although I think this is totally better than Captain Planet, and I think it is more realistic in actual environment terms.

Reminds me of an outburst I had during the first viewing I had with some friends of episode 2...

"We interrupt your regularly scheduled immense danger moment to give you this message of ecological importance" well... it was more funny if you were there at the time... Meltdown imminent, let's have an image flashback!

but Arjuna does put you in the mind of captain planet.
