Whilst digging around some of the older threads (don't ask), I came across this:

It shows us how beautiful the world can be if we loved each other and hugged each other a little more.
In fact, the quest for Clow Cards (in my opinion, at least), is but a vehicle for the more important aspect of the series, showcasing the growth and emotions of the characters.
These are not magical heroes, but people with hopes and dreams who just happen to know magic.

That I agree totally with. One of CCS's strengths in the main character is that she goes out of her way to be nice to all those who she meets - whether they be friend or foe.........
...........Funny how CCS came out at the same time as an anime which said the exact opposite - yep I'm talking about Cowboy Bebop.
Which brings me to the topic of this discussion:
Sakura certainly is an ideal role model for kids these days, showing the that human kindness is a wonderful attribute and people who are nice wind up having a bright future.
Yet when these kids grow up and see Bebop, they see Spike Spiegel being nice to people whom he meets - even thought they usually turn out to be the very people he is hunting down. Of course being nice to said people doesn't help Spike. He usually ends up being no better then he started off with - Broke and starving.
This in turn says the exact opposite to the ideals that kids grew up on having watched CCS.
What do the rest of you think?
