The Animated Life Of Oren-Ishi in "Kil Bill: Volume 1."
Without spoiling anything, I can say with all honesty...
....aside from the brillance that poured from every second and bleeding stump of The Masterpiece Known as Kill Bill: Volume 1 ....
.... the chilling and heartbreaking animated sequence IG Production ( of Blood The Last Vampire and FLCL fame) , depicting the tragic childhood of Lucy Liu's Assassin Oren Ishi is worth the price of admission by itself.
Go-See-Kill-Bill-Volume-One-NOW!!

I did quite like the Animated sequence, it was a good way to tell the story of that character's history. I also liked all the other Japanese things in the movie also, though I am now scared of Japan, it was all still good.
It was funny though cause while watching the animation I thought that it was good for it to be animated cause they wouldn't be able to have the same amount of 'effects' that real action would, but I was obviously proved wrong of that assumption in the later scenes.

yeah i agree
I just saw kill bill today, i think it was made by IG studios at the end? i forget i cant seem to remember
but the anime scene was great, the use of camera was amazing, and the sketchy almost rough drawings of everybody was great
the whole movie itself i thought was a big anime / video gamish
a lot of effin blood though

SPOILER
Did anyone else think the guy in White was Bill? I mean..look at his hands and the way he held his sword. The Rings...and It was said that he was a student of The Bride's Swordsmith...so he very well have been the man in white...since he does sound like he's in his fifties, yanno...or late forties. he could have been nineteen or twenty in the animated sequence....
END SPOILERS
Just food for thought.

[spoilers?]
Hmm yeah I would of thought that once Oren Ishi had killed the syndicate leader, she would of gone after that guy next, since he seemed just as much a bad guy as the other, maybe that theory is right and how she become apart of that group whos name I have forgotten.
[/spoilers?]

POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Hmm so Bill is Asian then? Well the man in white looks Asian ...
Well the animation was pretty good, sort of reminded me of the animation from the Animatrix short - Kids Story cept it wasn't as well 'sloppy', but it was a great way to show the flashback and yeah there was a lot of exaggerated blood especially when Oren Ishii killed that Boss

Actually I saw Kill Bill again with a friend and the rings don't match up between the flashback and the scene with Bill. Besides from that just find a trailer for the movie to see bill in the flesh and he is not asian. He certainly doesn't sound asian either.
Does leave a gaping hole in the plot doesn't it? Who is that guy and wouldn’t o-ren seek revenge from that guy?
Also seeing the movie again confirmed the suspected discontinuity with the 'death list five' - the note changes colours a couple times during the course of the movie. Maybe the bride wrote more than one?
Also in the silhouette fighting scene the first couple guys the bride ‘kills’ actually crawl to either side of the scene off camera as to not interfere with the action

Bill is NOT Asian, m'kay? He's played by a Caucasian actor who was on "Kung-Fu" for a long time... I don't recall his name at the moment.

David Carradine.
Pictures of him shouldnt be hard to find on the ol' internet. I'm going to stick by the man in white being Bill. People can in fact take rings on and off, so until I see otherwise, I'm fairly set on him being Bill. Granted, I dont know why she didnt get revenge on him, but it seems too obvious to me.
