Ever wondered what Dragonball Z would look like drawn by other artists?

In 2004 the Dragon Ball manga was re-released as a 34 volume collection instead of the initial release of 42 volumes. This new release named Kanzeban was bigger than the old edition, with new covers and an altered storyline. But the best part of the Kanzeban is the artwork that comes with the book. What is so special about this artwork? The fact that it is drawn by other mangaka; mangaka that have been influenced by Akira Toriyama’s work in the past.

Some totally spiffy Dragonball Z (fan)art by other famous manga artists including; Kubo Tite (of Bleach fame), Oda Echiro (of One Piece), Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21), Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto) and a lot more.

I absolute love the Kubo Tite one, Masashi Kishimoto and the Oda Echiro ones are also favourites. The Freeza by Yoshio Sawai looks hilarous.

Totally cool! ... I particulary like the potential for the one done by the Naruto artist ... given the character profiles and expressive strength of Kishimoto's style ... the two would go together fabulously.

*lmao* Love the ones by Ryô Azuki (Love Wan!) & Koushi Rikudou (Excel Saga). If Dragonball Z had looked like either of those two, I may have watched more of it.
