Akira was the first anime movie that I'd ever seen.

The Castle of Calgiostro for me on SBS TV back many years ago, I taped it when it was on and still have the tape and still watch it (maybe I need to get it on DVD .. I don't know how long the tape will last)

I'm not really Sure. I know I hired the Transformers Movie when I was a Kid because it has Dinosaurs in it (Sort of). But after I got into Evangelion, I either hired Ghost in the Shell or Ninja Scroll. Or SBS screened Akira or the Castle of Calgiostro. So I'm not too sure what I saw first.

I can't remember exactly, but it was Laputa or Ghost in the Shell i think.

The question is which one, Laputa i watched on TV (Channel 4, a sunday morning), Ghost in the Shell my brother-in-law bought over on VHS not long after it's UK release (both were around the same time i think).

Akira, Wicked City, and Project A-Ko, back when the Sci-fi Channel had Anime Saturdays. Those were the best days. I didn't really get into anime though, until I was introduced to NGE.

It was Mobile Suit Gundam III the movie for me, talk about being spoiled. But the one that had the most impact on me was Macross the movie, I still see myself dropping jaws watching it.

I started watching Saturday Anime on the Sci-fi channel, back in the day. I watched Akira, Wicked City, Project A-ko, and a few others that I never got the name of.
