Supanova Sydney May 1st - 2nd

With Supanova Sydney in under two weeks, it raises the question...

Who's going?

I definately am, going to help my dear friend choose $500 worth of anime merchandise. That dude is crazy... but he's a friend, and I like helping friends.

I would go and inflict some pain on my credit card again, but I've just checked my roster and I've got nightshift that weekend, as I do most weekends. (Little advice for those considering a career in the cops. Don't plan on having a social life cause you end working every weekend and public holiday.)

Yeah; booked my tickets for the weekend.

Hey Lurker you still in Sydney central? You could skive off up the street for an arvo

I could conduct a 'walkthrough' of the con, you know, fly the flag, show a presence, make sure nobody is swearing at little old grannies.

Really, these conventions need to obtain a liquor licence. Not only would it make the whole experience that much more fun (Imagine screening an episode of Excel Saga or whatever to a theatre full of drunks), but it would make my excuse of conducting a business inspection much more plausible, and if I happen to do a little shopping whilst I'm there, well it was simply a matter of convenience.

That's the spirit! Make up excuses to come to the con

And I just realised I'll be broke during the con. I have literally nothing to spend. Well, buying a motherboard IS more important than anime merchandise...

Oh come on people. You're making this poor Miko cry if you don't attend this con.

Only seven days to go until it starts!

I've been thinking of going up. But the train's gonna be pretty costly...
I wanna go and look at George Takai, and ask John Rhys Davies to sign my picture of his rendition of the brain-fungus infected Professor from Sliders.

Damned trains and their need for money....

If somebody could fill me in on where and what time it starts, I'll see what I can do about attending after my shift on saturday night, just so Miko will stop crying. Of course by that time of day I'll probably be little better than a walking zombie.

Actually, John Ryhs Davies will be in Brisbane this year. So the lucky Brisbanians will get the chance to talk to Gimli- I mean Davies. Good news for all fans of the Kill Bill movies, Bill (David Carradine) himself will make an appearence this coming weekend.

If you find me, look for a blonde girl in a yellow suit

SupaNova will be held at Wharf 8, 53-59 Hickson Road, Sydney and doors will be open at 10am til 6pm for both days. The venue itself is near Kings St. Wharf so it hard to miss.

For more information, please visit the website.

NO DAVIES!?!
This cancellation confuses and enrages me!
The idea of going to SupaNova is becoming less and less appealing...

I had a comic book store on the verge of funding my trip, on the provison that I get John Rhys Davies to sign a picture of him as the Professor.
Now all I've got is an expensive train ticket and a picture of George Takai in a big hat.

It's tomorrow. I'm going there nice and early, probably around 9:00am so I can get my tickets and stuff.

Find a dude with chibi-Rei plushie dangling from his bag and you'll meet gugueater!
