Touching anime songs

What anime songs do you find emotional and touching?

Well for me these two songs
- Open up your mind (Gensomaden Saiyuki)
- Starry Sky (Angelic Layer)

Song?
Well, I'm sure the Hoshi no Koe soundtrack has some very emotional bits of music.
2nd ending theme(Chobits), is also very touching. At leas, that's what I think.

I definitely find "Blue" from Cowboy Bebop a touching and emotional anime song.

Hmmm, Giant Robo music is VERY emotional. Try: A Father's Soul, Daisaku's Theme, Becoming a Blue Wind, Shizuma's Funeral, or Bashtarle.

Also touching: Wind by Akaboshi (the ending theme for Naruto). This is one of the few songs with words that I found "touching". Poor little Naurto. *sniff*

Voices by Yoko Kanno. A song to dying dreams, IMOP. *sniff*

Not anime but VERY sad: To Zanarkand from the FFX soundtrack. It must suck to find out that your homeland....*spoiler self-edit*

Hiru no Tsuki (Outlaw Star first ending) To be honest, I think this song is what I like best from that anime... It just sounds so... sad. And so filled with longing. Of course, since I never took the time to find out what the lyrics meant, Akino Arai might just be singing about her favorite car or something.

Aoi Hitomi (Escaflowne TV) My favorite song from an anime filled with great ones. Very beautiful and wistful.

Call Me, Call Me (Cowboy Bebop)
Blue (Cowboy Bebop) I really think these two are touching because of the context from the anime. If I just heard them without knowing where they came from, I'd like them but not as much as I do knowing where they were played in the anime. Anyway, they're very pretty. Call Me, Call Me actually makes me depressed everytime I hear it.

the theme from X TV Now it may just be me, but this is a stunning piece of BGM orchestration. X TV always looked interesting to me, but when I heard this piece playing during X's preview, it sold me on getting the series. Maybe I'm the only person who buys anime based on the music that plays during the trailers.... Anyway, this theme gives me chills everytime I hear it. It's not especially brilliant, but it has a poignancy and an emotion to it that I really love. I'm currently infatuated with this one...

Those are the ones that instantly pop to mind.

Do you happen to be talking about Sadame? It's the recurring theme that they play over and over again in various forms o_o (my favorite is the piano rendition)

Is that what's it called? I love it. I really need to buy that soundtrack. I don't think I could ever get tired of hearing it.

I finally found the X soundtrack... What awesome music! I read a review a while back that called it a boring instrumental soundtrack, and now I want to go jump that person and beat them over the head with my oboe... Nah. To each his own.

I actually prefer the orchestrated version... although the piano one is absolutely beautiful. If I had a piano, that would be the next song that I sat down and worked out how to play. But the orchestrated version is more powerful, to my ears. Very awesome stuff. Now I need to get the next soundtrack, and hear the guitar version...
