Hey, guess what! More fanart!

And it's still from the Inuyasha series! This one is supposed to be Sesshoumaru at a younger age, with my take on his mother standing behind him. I like the border on this one. ^_^ The kanji in the top-left is the title, "Hahaue," which is a very formal way of saying "Mother" (it's usually used for high-ranking mothers, like ladies and princesses and the like). The kanji in the bottom left is "Kogarashi," or "chill winter wind," one of my online handles. ^_^ C&C muchly welcome.

I really like how you used soft gradient color blends ... the help to give the kimono the signature "silk shimmer" ...

... you might want to reexamine the girls raised arm though ... it looks compressed and twisted in an awkward angle. What I suggest, is to mimic this pose in front of a large mirror ... this will give you a reference as to the angle, perspective and "natural" pose of someone in such a position.

Looking good!

Like the colors and how you've done the 'chibi' Sesshoumaru!
I see SamIam haven't seen anything of Inuyasha....yet! The 'girl' you just meant is a guy.
Anyways on the to critcism.
Sesshoumaru's right arm (left to us) does look kinda weird....somehow. As it's now his upperarm seems too long compared to his forearm. From the looks of it, the length of his upperarm reaches his hips which is too long. The length of his upperarm is about right when the wrist of his hand is about equal to the shoulder's height.
Further more his left ear (right to us) seems to be placed a tad lower than his right ear.
If that is her mother in the back......wow....she has some large/wide shoulders.
Looks great nonetheless, keep up the good work!

::growls at proportions:: I wasn't doing too hot when I drew this. ::grumbles:: I know I got Sessh's arm wrong, but I was too lazy to fix it once I started coloring. And I'm not sure how to explain his mother's...bigness. I'll work on that for the next pic (yes, I've got more planned for him and his mother ^_^, and for Inu-kun and his mother too). As for the silk sheen, yay for dodge and burn!

Sankyuu, Foxxe! ^_^ I like the color choice too. Always envisioned Sessh's mother as the pale blue/lavender type.
