I would have voted for Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust but methinks it's the original that's on the list =P So I voted for Anything Miyazaki as I absolutely love Tonari no Totoro =P

No, you don't have to say anything. I know how you feel. The time we've spent together, every smile, every touch. All of our hopes and dreams we had for the future. I will cherish them all. I will treasure every memory and my treasure will remain right here. I won't wonder about my past. I won't feel lonely ever again.

Hmm..I wonder why Akira is first on the list. Akira infinite! Akira revolutionized the anime industry. We need another "Akira" to push anime another step forward.

Tekken!??? Are you serious?? The title Tekken shouldn't even be associated with Anime... ughh

My vote goes for Akira... a rarity among animes for being able to be condensed into a 2 hr timeslot and still maintain its depth and meaning

Gez... I've never really seen any anime movies... But if I were to pick, I would have to say the Dragonball movies. Thats only anime I like, (and practicly seen) and the only movies I've taped off of TV. *sigh* I guess I should get around more...

Well, it was a hard choice, but I guess mine goes to Akira... although the ending almost destroyed the entire movie, but it had a sloid story line and well... it captured a lot of what a dramatic anime would....

Photo between Akira and GotF.....

Guess Akira took it on the 'burned into memory' stakes... the first anime to blow me away!

The one and only...

I think this poll needs to be closed and restarted to include the Cowboy Bebop movie.

We'll see who wins then.

The poll is way too outdated though.

It also is missing Blood and Metropolis, both of which were great movies which will probably get a few votes.

As I said in the Other Anime forum regarding the favorite anime poll, I will add selections and shift votes if PMed. You get to change your vote once.

I'll probably be reposting the two polls in the near future.

Hmmm...In my opinion I think that Ghost in the Shell is a movie that has all of the elements to become a classic film that that will be remembered in time alongside with Akira for having changed and influenced the anime industry, and set new standards for manga filmmakers to aspire to. In fact I think that GITS, simply becuase of its plot has so much appeal to many people who haven't even seen manga before...this gives it an edge over Akira for me (visually both films are amazing for their respective times), but I know that without Akira, GITS may not have ever been made...so to me they are equally important.

But my personal favorite film would have to be...End of Evangelion.
This movie really blew my mind.

My other favorites are:
Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, Akira and Samurai X (Man that movie always makes me cry!-NGE doesn't come anywhere near as close when it comes to that!)

P.S. I just want to say a big hello to everyone at AB because it's been a while since I last posted here becuase my internet connection at home is realy dodgy, but now that I'm back at uni (heh heh heh, I can use THEIR computers!), y'all can expect to see more of me at AB! And this time, I hope to be discussing less about politics and more about manga and Japanese since I've enrolled myself into a Japanese language subject so that I can get more out of my anime DVDs.
Yaaaay!

Thanx y'all.
